I can speak from experience that the job market is pretty rough right now. I've found work, but it's been a lot harder to find what I want compared to, say, two years ago, when jobs were practically falling in my lap (that and I have retardedly high standards). Luckily, the worst of the crisis is over and things are picking up a bit -- unemployment should start to fall here.

Well hello there!
|
My grandpa taught me a quarter for breakfast and lunch and 2 for dinner. Buffet is no tip since you do the work yourself.

All I want is your input. That's it. The reason I made this was thread was so I can have you guys help me process information and to better my train of thought. That's what forums are for, to get people to share their opinions and see their thoughts about the subject, at least, for the most part, right? There are some posts that I found very helpful, some were just plain stupid, but most really helped me think and I thank you for that.

Pffft I beg to differ. There's tons of nice people out there. However, good luck finding a new job (if that's the route you're taking) and hopefully you'll be tipped a little better next time at your current job.

I get to work at a carwash.
Minimum Wage, plus tips. Raceissue: I don't tip black people. Unless they act white.

It's a perfectly reasonable assumption to make, and some restaurants don't split tips with buspersons. Most, however, do. Well, most that would hire people like me and Guru. |

Right, Giggles.
Also lol Nice Guy Eddie: C'mon, throw in a buck! Mr. Pink: Uh-uh, I don't tip. Nice Guy Eddie: You don't tip? Mr. Pink: Nah, I don't believe in it. Nice Guy Eddie: You don't believe in tipping? Mr. Blue: You know what these chicks make? They make ****. Mr. Pink: Don't give me that. She don't make enough money that she can quit. Nice Guy Eddie: I don't even know a ****ing Jew who'd have the balls to say that. Let me get this straight: you don't ever tip? Mr. Pink: I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job. Mr. Blue: Hey, our girl was nice. Mr. Pink: She was okay. She wasn't anything special. Mr. Blue: What's special? Take you in the back and suck your dick? Nice Guy Eddie: I'd go over twelve percent for that. More seriously though, I'd advise looking at http://www.findalink.net/tippingetiquette.php or http://people.howstuffworks.com/tipping1.htm As they do a good job explaining what types of tips you can expect/how to handle the situation correctly. |
