So I was complaining I had troubles improving.
So I got a ton of advice "play SM". Well, now I've played SM since summer vacation, I've gone from 20% greats on 10's to AAAing some 12s, and I've had zero greats on Through the Fire before I missed some because I was shaking. Anyways, during this period I expected to improve. So to all you who propose SM to improve on FFR... **** YOU. SRSLY! When I went to SM instead I had like 1-10 good runs ALWAYS on VC's on FFR.. Now I just got 50 good on songs I have SDG'ed and 30 good on songs I've AAA'ed. And an occasional fluke run. The only thing better is my stamina. Obv. Because of vibradumpfiles on cool songs. AAHTFIAUHGG)USG I'm raging :@

Same here.
There was a time when I couldn't even do 6's and 7's, now I can pass FGO's, because of SM. Stop whining, you haven't played both enough. Just practice and shut the hell up. |

You just have to know what to play to improve.
SM has a much larger variety of files which is why it's definitely the choice for getting better. |

I guess I've taken 2(?) billion "ffr" points on SM and all my scores on FFR has gone down the drain in the same pace they've gone up on SM.......

SM doesn't make you better at FFR, it's just good advertisement

Actually, play 6-key. It's the best for improving FFR.

You have to take into account that SM and FFR are two completely different games, even though the overall arrowsmash concept is the same. Even if you can MA on SM that does not mean that you'll have good PA on FFR, even if FFR's timing windows are looser. Mostly depends on how well you can read and how smooth flash and FFR run on your computer as compared to SM where you're constantly running at ~60 FPS.
So choose one or the other. If you stick with FFR, you're more likely to have bad MA on SM due to stricter timing windows. If you stick with SM, you're more likely to play worse on FFR due to your inability to read FFR notes while running at ~30FPS. Not to say that there aren't people who can perfectly play well on both but as a majority, people tend to be good at one but not the other. Quote:
