Default Lunar Eclipse Pad Pack

It's time to start the Lunar Eclipse Pad Pack!!!

Judging by the reaction I got from the people who ACTUALLY DOWNLOADED THE LAST PACK, I say it turned out quite well. The rules for this pack are as followed (PAY ATTENTION, THE RULES ARE A BIT DIFFERENT THIS TIME):

1 - The song must be at least 1:15 in length. If the song is over 2:45, it better be one hell of a file, or it is going to be rejected. I am trying to keep this pack a bit more contained.

2 - Each file must have a chart that is at least an 8 and no more than a 13 on ITG standards. Having a full range of charts is appreciated, but not required for this pack.
Rule 2a - We will allow 2 and only 2 files that are 14 and over for this pack as boss songs. We will chose the best 2 when we close submissions.

3 - Forced bracket hands are allowed, just don't make them retarded

4 - Hands, quads, freezes, mines, rolls, etc are all allowed. Just make sure you use them correctly (I am very picky about how I want my mines hehehe).

5 - Graphics are not needed, but it would greatly help if you could get some. Having to find people to make a ton of graphics at the end of a pack is rather ridiculous.

6 - Released files ARE allowed, but only if they aren't extrememly popular. On occasion I will make an exception to this rule, but yeah.

7- YOUR FILE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1.5 SECONDS OF SILENCE/SONG BEFORE THE NOTES START.

Now onto the fun stuff.
Please send all files to eclipsepadpacks@gmail.com for judging. Make sure that you specify who you are as well as what the song you stepped is when you send it. Speaking of judging, our judging staff for this time is:

Buizel
Wyde
JenovaSephiroth

I WILL POST ALL JUDGMENTS AND THAT STUFF ON WWW.ANTHROAQUATIC.COM. I am posting this pack on a ton of different boards that not every judge goes to, so I will keep that updated as much as possible.

If you motivate me, I might step a new pad file that isn't from late 2008 or early 2009, rofl

I'll see what I can send. I have a few charts lying around on my computer doing nothing, and some releases that have been all but ignored on the r21 forums, so expect a batch soon.

Hey! =O

I'll be submitting. Not sure if you guys want me as a judge when I just disappear like I did last time--got kinda lazy. =p

EDIT: Hey, JS--maybe we should do the little "project" for this pack. =p

sorry halogen, but I cant have judges that are going to disappear and do almost no judging

(JenovaSephiroth) Mendes - File seemed a little bland. I understand you are trying to make it nowhere near as hard as it really should be, and I for one like that. There just wasn't all that much appeal here. I mean the file is okay, don't get me wrong, just a bit bland. Withholding judgment

(JenovaSephiroth) %10 - I hate you. Not sure if you knew that or not. Accepted

(JenovaSephiroth) Sweet Satellite - Cute file. Spins were a nice touch here. Gonna be a fun warm-up and no bar crowdpleaser type file here. Accepted

(JenovaSephiroth) Terminal - For the most part this file is pretty good. However, there is a spin at m76 that really doesn't belong there. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but please fix it. Fixes needed

Judgings ho:

----------

1.11.09

~%10 - ACCEPTED~
I actually quite liked this. This seems to follow the music better than any of your other submissions, so this will certainly receieve a more favourable opinion. =P Nice to see yet another demonstration of your experience with negative BPM gimmicks here as well.

~MENDES - REVISE~
#m23-24: Not sure what was with the jumps here. They don't follow the percussion very well.
#m28: Didn't like the tell jump here, especially considering it's of one of the most awkward kinds and feels like a poor fit.
#m45-59: You appear to be following the piano, including parts that aren't quite the melody. You've missed many notes if you were trying to follow every single one.
#60-72: I must be honest: I didn't like how you stepped this. Where you're following the percussion seems consistent enough, but the steps don't tie very well with the piano melody at all. =(

So yeah, quite a lot of nitpicking there. The patterns themselves are for the most part layed out well, and I see no real errors in that respect. I just think it could follow the music better.

~Sweet Satellite - ACCEPTED~
If it were up to me, I would have used mine fillers in the drum solos. The overall flow of the file seems fine, spins and all. I'd say this was a 9 though, given how complex many of the patterns are, but that can be debated.

~Terminal - REVISE~
I remember you showing me this a while ago actually. I do honestly prefer your steps over mine; there's a reason I've never let them see the light of day. XD However, I have my issues with this, my more nagging ones as follows:

#I don't know why there's no slowdown at the beginning, yet there is one at the end. I honestly felt the inclusion of freezes felt a little thoughtless.
#m44: The jump at the start of the bar feels very out of place.
#m46&66: Not sure why there -isn't- a jump to start off these bars.
#m76:Random spin is random.

To be honest, I could spend most of this evening nitpicking every rhythm I feel you've ignored or stepped in an arguably awkward way. I'm giving this a chance though, because I do believe some will actually like this, once it has a few touch ups of course.

----------

Oh, nearly forgot to say. I sent some files myself. Go have a look at those, fellow judgdoodz.

(Kommi) Rottel-da-star - Was never a huge fan of this because of song, but the file was straightforward and looked fairly interesting. Accept

(Wyde) Black Flag - Song is terrible but again, the file is pretty cool. Accept

(Wyde) Bowser's Castle - Personally I like my friend Alex's file a lot better, but this one has it's own unique perks I guess. Light Accept

(Wyde) Still More Fighting - Mines were a bit overused in this file. Ya don't have to layer the sounds you couldn't get to with mines lol. I mean if it was just a few things then sure, but dang the whole file is littered. Please take out some of the mines. Fixes Needed
