Katze Extreme doesn't mimic the arcade all that well.
Look for DDR Extreme VS1. It's much more accurate than KatzeExtreme.

Who cares if it mimics the arcade or not...

Becides, KatzeExtreme has been keeping up on being updated, and Takuya's theme kinda died off when DDRMX died.

It's still much more accurate. Both have pros and cons however.. so choose which you want =)
KatzeExtreme is more for home usage, like if you don't care about the "arcade-feel" and you just want that extreme look, I'd say KatzeExtreme.
VS1 is much more accurate and looks better imo, so that's what I would go for if you want that arcade feel.

And if you cant find out how to extract the .smzip, just extract it with WinRAR (Though WinZip might work too, I haven't tried it though)

How do I install the theme? I ran the .smzip and it acts as if it did it right, but it didn't work.... I have the katzeextreme folder in my themes folder in the stepmania directory, but for some reason the theme is the same as it's always been.

You have to go into your Options > Appearance, and change the Theme area.
