Default DJ Hero "Good or Bad"

Well i've been looking at DJ Hero since May. It looks like a sick game, the controller looks insane. The mash-ups are F@cking Sick. Some musicians such as Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas,Common,Daft Punk, Public Enemy and many more. I might pre-order it!

Here's some gameplay
DJ Hero - Rock the Bells vs. Bittersweet Symphony DJ Jazzy Jeff Mix HD

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58mKM...eature=related

And here's the controller

Tell me what you think of the game, is it a good idea or bad. what will they make next flute hero, sax hero.lol

First off, yes it is totally f*cking worth it. I pre-ordered the Renegade version just to get the full metal controller.

Also, good on you for linking to the best mashup out of the setlist.

Think of DJ Hero as a game for those of us who don't want to buy a custom controller that costs $400 and think the official one is total ****.

I feel that this game is kind of a waste. Just play Beatmania, it's 10 times better than this game will be, judging on the demo's on You Tube. The game just seems very boring, and the learning curve of the game can possibly be mastered quickly. With Beatmania, it's just more fun, and requires more practice to beat certain songs. It's going to take someone a long time to pass level 8 Hypers, possibly months depending on the person. Where as DJ Hero can be MASTERED at a minimum of a month. This is just my opinion. I say, just play Beatmania IIDX.

I like how you assume that the game can be mastered in a month when you havn't even seen it yet. First of all, where can I get Beatmania? Second of all, the games do look quite different. In Beatmania, spinning the track is just like one extra note coming down. It's pretty much like StepMania. In DJ Hero, it looks like the game is based around spinning the track and scratching. It's just of a DJ Simulator than a pro rhythm game. Also the music is very different on both, which plays a factor even though "Pro rhythm game players" don't really care about it.

Wow, pay attention to my post please, I said it can possibly be mastered based on the demo's givin on youtube. The game itself just doesn't look hard at all. And you can buy the games online. I bought mine at Game Stop years ago, I don't believe they sell it anymore.

I was saying that you can't really make that sort of assumption. They're not going to show hard stuff in the Demo's. There's no way to gauge how hard it's going to be, but I would say the most accurate way to do this if you are going to is assume it'll be around the difficulty as GH. Also as far as I can recall beatmania is super hard to come by and extremely expensive now.

Well, GH isn't that hard to begin with, and DJH only has 3 different keys, so it has less combinations. And you can get the games at Play Asia, but you need a modded PS2 to play them. Or you can just Download the game to your computer like I did.

Most of everybody can't get 100% on TTFAF, not to mention the downloadable content has stuff much harder than that. How is it easy? Also my point is Beatmania isn't easy to come by. I don't have a modded PS2 and I'm not willing to fork out a couple hundred dollars on a USB controller for it.

The game itself is easy, 5 buttons, if you play guitar, you can possibly do well in the game. But if you love rhythm games, it's going to be easy to you. I don't have GH personally, but when it first had demo's in game stores, I beat it first try on expert songs that were given. Later on, I beat all the expert songs at my friends, and I don't even own the game. Want to know why? Because the concept is easy. And that's just 5 keys, now you're working with 3 keys, with scratching, and swivel or w/e. I'm saying, the game is easy based on my game experiance. And TTFAF? Please...go and play some beatmania and try to AAA Nageki No Ki, good luck, no one has done it yet, and Beatmania has been around for a long time. And it doesn't cost that much for PC, it will cost like 40 dollars. >.>

Remember, this guy was asking OPINIONS, I'm saying it looks easy because I love rhythm games and adapt to them fairly quickly. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I'm not trying to say my word is absolute and you're completely wrong. Sorry if it seems that way =U. I know Beatmani is harder but I don't think you can consider DJ Hero easy. I adapt to rhythm games quickly too, but it took a long time with a lot of players who play other rhythm games often a LONG time to FC TTFAF and nobody has even FC'd every downloadable song yet as there are MUCH harder ones, possibly even on par with Beatmania.

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...n-70-3hl9.html This seems pretty expensive and hard to play to me since I even need to mod my PS2. I couldn't find any vendors in Canada (I didn't try very hard) that sold any USB controllers for it.

The concept for Beatmania is very easy as well. Press 6 buttons and barley spin a disc occasionally with your pinky. DJ Hero looks like it has a lot more going on.

Like I said, just download the game on your PC, and buy a regular beatmania controller for cheap price, bye a USB converter for like 5 dollars, and there you have it. And it's 7 keys, not 6. Trust me, you won't pass many songs with just your pinky, at point it will require you to use your whole wrist because you need more than just a few fingers to hit combos. Beatmania by no means is easy, no matter what lol, even the pros can't get high scores ont he hardest of the hard songs lol. And, the taps are ten times faster, I doubt DJH will require to hit notes this fast.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSEkL...eature=related
yes I realize it is on Auto play.
