I'm on Zikel server, lvl 24 asmodian sorc atm. Last edited by meno_rocks123; 10-7-2009 at 12:06 AM.. |

Re: Aion
It's no the WoW killer. It "is" WoW. The HUD, map, stats, inventory, spells, are all in the same place. This character is riding a winged taxi through levels made in WoW already.

Re: Aion
Every MMO shows similar features. WoW stole most of their stuff from other things. Oh well.

Re: Aion
Technically WoW is the mixing pot of all previous MMORPGS.

Re: Aion
After seeing what WoW has done to my brother, I will never play an MMO game. Ever.

Re: Aion
I'm playing it for now. Kinda regretting it; hoping the PvP is good. Level 20 Elyos sin.
It already has at least 4 million subscribers... An MMO doesn't even need 100k subs to be successful. It's not really about beating WoW. |

Re: Aion
Once you've played one MMO you've played them all...it just depends how well they're made and Blizzard made theirs pretty well. Not to say this one isn't but yeah, not going to switch over unless I hear some pretty amazing thing from this. No MMO copied anything really as all RPGs have similar/the same concepts.

Re: Aion
I'm on Zikel as Elyos.
There's a ton of people who moved over to Aion from WoW. It's generally considered better than WoW so far. It's gorgeous graphicswise as well. Unless you have a terrible computer and have to play it on low settings like me. Even then it's nearly unplayable in towns. And the gold sellers in this game are strange. |

Re: Aion
Hmmm interesting. Tempting to check out Aion, but again, I don't want to get sucked into an MMO.

Re: Aion
Talk about that... is prohibited!
I wish Aion would offer a 10 day trial similar to WoW's 10 day trial. I've been reading about this game for a long time now, but recently I've been watching the clips of in-game fighting and zones and I am highly interested in the game. However, I don't want to pay $60 on a game I'm not sure I will like. ~Tsugomaru

I've been playing it for a few days now, and all I can say is it's the mostfun I've ever had playing a mmo.

Turbine did the same thing with both Dungeons & Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online. You either will have to wait for it, play it at a friend's house(assuming a friend plays it), play on a private server or suck it up and gamble some cash.
