Timing windows shouldn't be frame based. It is possible to do time based, as in notes hit < 0.1 seconds from perfection are considered perfect, etc.
I made it frame based to be more like FFR.

bLasT, you should join the FFR team and help them do whatever it is they're trying to do first. It's more likely that this can be implemented if their previous projects are complete beforehand.

Well it's up to them if they want my help or whatever, I would help do make this game a lot better, but I'm not willing to work on the current engine or using AS2, so I guess it won't happen.

I think 60fps may be too fast. 30 and 45 are not bad, but I'd say I'm probably more comfortable playing at 45fps.

Rewriting the 4k FFR engine to AS3 and changing it to a timing-based system would invalidate every score ever attained to date.I don't think people with 600+ AAAs etc. would like that

I also thought you said you didn't want to work on this anymore, and you just wanted to prove a point. lol

Pop'n ratings are perfect for Solo because a lot more things can be taken account into with solo ratings. Anything from speed to messed up rhythms, or chordstreams to pure technicality.
