Look at this:
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categorie...ept=GB+Advance It's really sad, if you ask me. Why is everyone abandoning the GBA? Almost all of the games I see on this list will suck, no doubt about it (Yu-Gi-Oh, anyone?). And where's Fire Emblem 2? I read in EGM that it was to be released in March... Anyone else disappointed by this (so far) lackluster list of GBA games for 2005? |

Pokemon Emerald? Mario Party Advance? DB GT?
Those are the only ones I would consider playing and I highly doubt I'd play any of them anyway. No Super Mario RPG remake either, yup the list sucks. |

What did you expect? Nintendo didn't want the DS to replace the GBA (read: Game Boy isn't in the name), but apparently, it's going to.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I only count four, only four, first party games. That really tells everyone how much you care about the GBA this year, Nintendo. I don't plan on buying a DS anytime soon, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Way to take care of your fans.

So? GBA's sales have been falling for quite some time now. There's enough games out for it to deem it a classic system anyway. My girlfriend is getting an SP for her birthday and I can't decide what game to get her for her birthday because there are so many good ones. MetroidS, castlevaniaS, Golden SunS, wario wareS, etc..
Oh yeah, and Nintendo is working hard on trying to get the DS into everyone's homes right now, not to mention the Gamecube.. Give them some slack.. The only thing I can really say I'm dissapointed about is the lack of FFIII on GBA. |

FFIII is coming out for DS, last time I heard about it... I'm wondering what the heck happened to Fire Emblem 2... I know I've already said that. Nforcer is right, although Nintendo said they wouldn't replace it with the DS, they have.

Oh, is it really? The current issue of EGM said it's coming out for the GBA sometime in March, but if it is coming out for the DS... now I have to buy one. I need a job, but I'm only 16. Maybe if I beg my parents...
Edited: I have been unable to find ANY info on Fire Emblem 2, anywhere, and trust me, I have checked. If you can point me to any info, please do. |

I'm not paying $150 for a GBA with another screen...I'm sticking with my GBA for now. Maybe once I see a lower price.

With all due respect (To myself of course.. because I don't like the DS
), the DS is just a teeny bit more than a "GBA with two screens". The GBASP is just a GBA but the DS is a next generation handheld. You're not paying to play GBA games either, you're paying to play DS games. There's so much more too.. your statement is completely uncalled for. |

I hope you're not talking to me... I know the DS has more than just an extra screen. I'm just not inclined to buy one, yet.

I know. I'm sorry, I'm not saying the DS is useless. Indeed, it's a great system. But I'm still not buying one for a while. =P

Nintendo is shifting all of its weight to the DS and its new upcoming handheld for next year. Since the PSP is out, Nintendo's focus in the handheld market is now all about competing with the PSP and it needs the more powerful systems to do that.
