watch the arrow and do the step pads alot. After a while you will memorize the coloums and rows of each arrow depending on which step pad your doing. ^^

Try playing ddr or some other music/coordination game so that you can get a feel for what it feels like. Thats how I got better... Just play music games cause they are all pretty similar.. Hope that helps!!

As in this, if you're unsure about playing one or two handed, two handed is much easier when you get to harder and faster songs, but one handed is in general, more fun, and you can use your other hand for something else if you want.

Sorry for adding to this bump, but you CAN control your fingers. If you need practice download stepmania and get a whole bunch of the official songs. Play them a lot. One handed I can AA almost any song.
A lot of people who talk about playing one handed say they use four fingers, for me I still dont get how you do that or play two handed. I personally play with three fingers, so just practice more.

OK, I agree to all of this BUT 2-handed is easier than 1 handed, but yeah, u can't spank a monkey while doing it. Also, learn what songs u can full combo so you can get massive amounts of credits. once you get going i suggest La Luna Cieida Secert song 200 or so credits to play or, if you're good enough, stay with me version 2 purchased song 200 credits.

I wouldn't say that 2 handed is easier, it's just whatever you had learned from the start and kept going with. I can't play index's at all but lots of people can AAA anything like that... its all preference.
