![]() Alright, so I've just added Stepmania onto my laptop which was previously devoid of this program. I've transferred some of my simfiles from the previous computer that has Stepmania and downloaded one from the simfile database as test files to see how well stepmania runs on this Toshiba laptop.
Apparently, I can't even begin to load a song. As soon as I try to go into edit mode for a specific song, I instantly get this error message, which applied to every song I've added: "Error opening file "Cache/Songs/3381828134": No such file or directory" Does anyone know what this mean, and better, how to fix it? P.S. It's Stepmania 3.9 that's downloaded on both my old desktop computer and this laptop, if that means anything. P.P.S. I can add a log upon request if necessary. |

![]() Vista or XP?
Have you tried using the 'Reload Songs and Courses' option under options?

![]() Go to your StepMania program folder, go into Cache and then into Songs and delete the contents in the folder.
Or do what Patashu said. Last edited by Oubliette; 08-5-2009 at 11:29 AM.. |

BTW, this is a Vista computer, which I'm pretty sure isn't that important. There isn't a Songs folder in my Cache folder. The Cache folder only contains a Banners folder. |

![]() Thats odd, it's probably trying to find the file in the directory but it doesn't exist. A few things, 1. Saying that the file was from that other computer I would get the Cache files from that computer and put it in the new one and see if it works, 2. Re-download the simfiles instead of transferring them into the computer or 3. It's Vista.
