Haruhi is kind of cute I guess, but by far not the most adorable thing out there. Nothing could top Ichigo Mashimaro, and factoring in the time loop, that gives Higurashi two things over Haruhi (I found it much more "moe")

Also, for those who haven't read this yet, the guy who had worked on the show (first season at least I think) apologized for the 8 episode loops.

From what I gather, he didn't really have any part to do with the episodes, nor is part of the company anymore, but it's nice to know that somebody who used to be part of the team dislikes the time loops idea.
