RE: dif colored arrows?
I'm not quite sure, but I think it goes as follows:
Blue arrows= 1/4th notes Red arrows= 1/8th notes Yellow arrows= 1/16th notes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nice to know that they actually mean something. I always thought they were just there to make it look cool.

I don't think Synth is gonna get around to make all the other songs like that. I really don't care though.

RE: dif colored arrows?
really, they are not 1/8 and 1/4 because the gap changes their color

RE: dif colored arrows?
Ummm... yes they are. Next time you play Boss Machine or something with the different colored arrows, count in your head... 1234, 1234, 1234, 1234. Or Indiana, Indiana, Indiana, Indiana. (Makes the 1234 rythm)

RE: dif colored arrows?
some of the songs have each 1/16th note as the beat, so that all of the arrows stay the same color

Sorry to break it to you guys... but the color has nothing to do with the length of the note, it has to do with where the note falls in the measure.....
Say in a 4/4 song (4 beats per measure) the blue are on the beats.... red are on the half-beats.... the offbeat or in between the main beats, and yellow is the beat in between the offbeat and main beat. So if it went 16 notes in a measure of 4 beats, the order of the color of arrows would go.... Blue, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Blue, Yellow, Red, Yellow, etc 8 notes in a measure of 4 beats would be.... Blue, Red, Blue, Red, etc Music major here.... =P

Actually rauchster is wrong, alain. Blue are eighth notes, red are quarter, and yellow are sixteenth. In other words, a song with an arrow on every beat would have all red arrows, not blue.

Wow, ok. I am new here, but I am very knowlegeable about music. I have only so far seen one song with red arrows, and none with yellow. But I have realized that in this game, the colors do NOT mean the duration of the note (quarter, 8th, 16th...etc.), nor does it mean the placement in the measure. But I do believe it's gotta mean something.

that's because of the freaking gap
when someone makes the gap .125 in a 120 BPM song... all arrows are blue, even if they are each beat or red don't know which ones are which color

I don't know exactly what "the gap" thing is that iopq is reffering to, but I take it he knows what he's talking about. (He, right? ^_^¿)
Now, in my experience here (which probably isn't too increadibly much) red is 1/4th beat. Some songs have them all the same color though. (similar to that of solo mode in DDR) And though I don't know much about how this game works specifically, I can indeed tell you that in DDR, the red beats are 1/4. ^_^ |

Everyone, disregaurd all that's been said in this thread except my previous post. My post is the most accurate one.
However, I will tell why some songs are all blue. When FFR first started, all the arrows were blue, because it was much more difficult to code the arrows to change color based on what beat they fell. Eventually, Synth decided to start making the arrows colored, but only did a few songs.
