Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
how i do art
But seriously. I'm not exactly a prolific/skilled keyboard sim maker, so I can't complain really. I'll have to see if another pack accepts it. <.<

Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
your DCP2 submissions must be literally a work of art
they must be ready to go up in the lourve beside the mona lisa then we'll think about judging them

Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
we've got a script set up to auto-reject any file that does not contain a 192nd note

Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
you can place 192nds in 3.9 easily here's how
1. place a note down or set of notes down that is one or two 192nds away from the desired location 2. move the cursor to a 64th/48th pair that lies above the note. hold shift or ctrl or w/e to start the selection and cover the note 3. hit enter, select cut 4. move to the other note of the 64th/48th pair and select paste. all of the notes have been moved by one 192nd in the direction your cursor ended up moving you can also create 192nds via screwing around with expand/compress/convert pause to beats/beats to pause stuff basically you want to get to the nearest 64th/48th and then make another run through to locate notes that still aren't quite on and snap them to the nearest 192nd. depending on the song's bpm this can make a difference of like half the marvelous window

Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
kil already explained and so have I in my stepmania lectures
essentially you ignore all rules (including pitch relevancy, layering, etc) and just put whatever notes will make the song sound good. as in, don't layer things like 16th background percussion and hi-hats (except under special circumstances) of course you can still get technical about different techniques but essentially you ignore all rules |

Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
the harder you try and follow each rule, the less fun your file becomes

Re: Kil's Dark Chancellors Pack 2 (Submissions Open)
...Fun?
I'm...I didn't know the letters f, u and n in that order actually formed a word with a meaning. I'll have to look it up. In any case, off to Xoon Drama 3 my file goes it seems, when it gets started. You too will forget the meaning of...er, "fu-n" if it ever gets accepted. :3

I'd post the banner for "I'm So Drunk" but I'm too lazy to upload it to Photobucket.
