First time playing this in a long time. Should have been a 4-0-0-1 because I got 2 random goods before the end rolls. Played about 20 more times after and I can't even get close to this rofl
![]() Haunt me no more! ![]() Yay BF fix ![]() One of my favorite songs. First and only time I PA'd the first stream. I still can't believe I pulled this off! ![]()

I finally got 600 total AAA's!!! Most of the AAA's leading up to the 600th were easy ass token songs, so I didn't bother SS'ing them. The 600th one is quite impressive for me though, especially since I used to have a terrible mindblock around 630-648 combo with the 24th rolls.
![]() I still have a BF on Dazzling Soul that I don't think I'm ever going to fix. I've played it 559 times

It's not as bad as Nova Pulser. I've played that 1,434 times and my best is only a 4-0-0-0

You know that if you whore a song like that, you'll actually get worse at it, right? It builds mental blocks in your muscle memory because you're so used to playing it. Next time, when you can't get a song down, just let it go and move on to the next song. Then, when you play it again, you won't have such a bad experience with it. ![]() |

Well I hardly play the POS anymore because of that. I've just become so bad at that file. Back then when I REALLY whored it, I let my stubborn nature get the best of me and refused to stop playing it until I improved my score on it. Hopefully one day I'll randomly decide to play it, get the AAA, dance/scream sporadically for an hour, and never have to play it again
![]() Nice Hellhounds AAA Rubix. And wtf bob bob that beats my Silence score

It's usually why **** like Mirror can be a good thing. It gives a good shake to any bad muscle memory.

I've played NP mirrored the ol' fashioned way at least 300 times, so I developed mindblocks on it that way also

That's the point. Make your muscle memory used to mirror so that when you play it on standard, you won't have so many mind blocks on it.

Where do you normally screw up, Prime?
I find that if I am consistently screwing up certain parts, what helps is to step outside what's comfortable and adjust. For instance, if you notice that you're getting mostly late Goods, force yourself to hit earlier, even if it feels like it's going to be wrong. If you're hitting too early, calm down and realize the pattern isn't as fast as you think it is. etc etc

I screw up the beginning 200 notes occasionally just because the steps just feel so damn awkward. I've gone back through my replays and almost memorized them by heart, but when I have to actually play it, I still get goods. I can't tell most of the time if it's because I'm hitting them early or late however. My worst part is the jacks part. I just slow WAY down when I concentrate solely on making sure I nail the jacks, which leads to goods in the rolls. Or I'll unconsciously jumpmash the jacks and PA the rolls. Every now and then, I'll get a good or two in a 12th/24th note part after the jack section. I'm pretty consistent with the 16th note streams afterwards now, so they aren't a problem anymore.

I guess check your replay and see if you're going too fast or too slow?
Try to look at the jack section not as a bunch of rolls, but alternating jack pairs with some stragglers in the middle. Or perhaps a jack set followed by a two-arrow tail over and over again, alternating. Might help... sometimes looking at the same pattern a different way can make a big difference. For example, some people look at runningmen patterns as "a long-ass repetition of one arrow followed by some other random arrows here and there inbetween," but I look at them as a bunch of integrated triplets, which makes them a lot easier to modularize and handle accurately. Alternatively, try muting the music when you play. Sometimes your hands will do stupid **** because it's making an incorrect assumption about where a step is relative to the sound.

Decided to play Nova Pulser after a few weeks hiatus. I'm now up to 1,786 gameplays and I have this "amazing" score to show for the 350+ autofails/games. Note how "large" the rank jump is.
![]() *sigh* All I can really hope for is that an admin feels so sorry for me that they decide to change my score to an AAA for all the time I've put into this pile of crap. EDIT: I (most likely) single-handedly made Nova Pulser the most played song so far today with 354 plays. Go check for yourself lol
