Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I would say my biggest complaint of the movie was the fact that The Fallen was killed too easily.
Also, Megatron wasn't really Megatron. Ever hear of Sixshot? Not the worst movie I have seen in the theaters though, which is a good thing. My favorite part of the movie was when they stole the shred of the allspark, which was actually pretty cool. |

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Megatron is Megatron. Sixshot wasn't in this movie.
Assuming they adopt certain elements from the old animated movie, Unicron will change Megatron into Galvatron.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
ok so i saw it last night and i enjoyed it but there were quite a few things that bothered me.
-The sexual references. Did we really need to see a robot humping Fox's leg for the story line to continue? No. And having a crotch shot of that huge evil guy and seeing wrecking balls as his testicles. Sure it gave everyone in the audience a laugh but was completely unnecessary. Plus whats with having slow motions shots of Megan Fox's tits. Sure it was nice to stare at them but c'mon. -All the "jokes" in general. I found way to many jokes throughout this movie. I have to admit, i had a good laugh three or four times, but the number of jokes forced through the dialogue was pretty lame. It just felt like there wasn't much serious dialogue because there would always be some random ass joke that pops up. -Some of the new Autobots. I liked the notion of The Ultimate Evil vs. The Ultimate Good. Now i haven't read the comics but i REALLY didn't like the new Autobots. I hated their personalities. The Decepticons were fine because of the different characters but they all had that same luminous dark presence. The new autobots were just annoying as hell. It felt like i was watching two 50 year old women bickering and fighting back and forth. I kept thinking, "oh god would they just shut the **** up." and I strongly disliked the faces they had. -The High pitched girly screams. The first time Shia screamed like a panzy, yes it was funny. But there were like five other instances in the movie where either Shia or his roommate would scream like little girls and it just got stupid. It gave everyone around me lots of laughs, but why couldnt they just scream in there lower range. I can understand one high pitched scream but almost every single time a Decepticon comes, here is a college guy screaming like a girl. I just didn't like it =/ -The hour long ending. At the final battle area in Egypt or wherever, there was a certain point where i thought to myself, "what? its still going on?" All Shia had to do was run like 2-3 miles to give that dust to optimus but it just dragged on. I mean the action sequences were great but it just took forever to Shia to finally reach the military and the other Autobots. On that note, my favorite scenes were the forest fight SPOILERwhere optumis was fighting two or three decepticons and fuking pwnd that guys neck in slow motion. but then he ended up dying like five seconds later.END OF SPOILER And the final fight scene where SPOILERRRthat old autobot gave optimis his power source or whatever then the other autobots magnetized him and turned him in super optimus prime and then he dominated the remaining decepticonsEND OF SPOILERRR I mean, overall the movie was enjoyable but the script could of been made without the immature sexual references, corny jokes, and male college students screaming like 5 year old girls. If they didn't have those, the movie would of been more epic. It's hard for me to describe what i mean but without those, it would of given the movie more of an adult feeling which is what it should of done in the first place. They didn't need to cater to a younger audience. But i guess since its rated PG 13, maybe that was the point *shrugs* tl;dr: too many jokes and unnecessary sexual references took away from the epicness of the movie but the many action sequences with new decepticons and autobots made it quick enjoyable nevertheless.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
One more thing:
The Matrix dissolves in Shia LaNONONONONOs hand because he's not worthy. He goes to Robot Heaven and talks to Robot God, and Robot God is all like, "Wait, error in paperwork, you are worthy, head on back." So the Matrix comes back together because Robot God can do that **** or something, and then Sam shoves it in Optimus's chest, and Optimus is like OOOH YEESSSSSSSS. But then The Fallen comes along and scoops it right up. ... And it doesn't dissolve. So The Fallen is apparently worthy. That's cool, I guess. And Agent Simmons having to climb the pyramid on order to call in the magic Rail Gun strike on Devestator. For some reason. I guess because he couldn't call it in unless... uh... he was staring at the things balls... or something. Wait, isn't he a disgraced former agent? How did he get ahold of the ship commander? How did he get them to fire their mega-weapon-ex-machina? ****ing plot had more holes than a Kent State hippie.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
The funny part is that the college scene was filmed on my campus, but there is a MASSIVE inside joke that only Penn students would really notice.
The guys who live in the Castle dorm HATE IT when people step on their lawn. They are the biggest assholes about it. When Sam had Bumblebee parked outside the dorm, the guys who were all pissed off over it was very reminiscent, haha. The people in my theater had a good laugh at that one. I also found it funny that he was hinted at being a Princeton student (orange/black coloring, the Princeton shield, etc) despite the fact that he only had, what, three classes or something according to the first movie and scraped-by grades? Now how does that happen, lol. PS: In my avatar, that is College Hall. It's literally right across from the Castle dorm and the street Bumblebee drives down after the frat scene, lol.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I really liked the first one and this one held my attention. Granted there were holes in the movie, I still enjoyed seeing it and will see the third one (if and when).
I think the mother is a horrible actress in general, and sorry if mentioned already, but she acted more drunk than high after JUST eating a brownie or two. Sorry but the effects don't lay on instantly when you eat hash brownies, let alone it seems as if she has never had weed in the first place... So she should have not been instant tripping. That is all really. 6/10 but worth watching |

I actually liked the actress playing the mother a great deal. You know that actors, 90% of the time, don't come up with the way they act in a scene. That boils down to the director.

I realize this, but I was really just talking about her acting in general, which is why I originally said that. But then I went into something that the director / writer made her portray on screen.. Just adding to the extra flaws of this movie.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
My main complaint was the flow of the film. The introduction to the film was fairly solid, but the middle third was devoid of much action and felt like mostly filler. The last third was a complete change of pace and had like 6 things going on at once, and all of those things seemed to drag on forever. It got to the point where it felt repetitive and I was wondering when something new was going to happen.
I didn't think it would be possible for a Transformers movie to bore me, but alas... I still had a good time, and I hope they do a solid job with Transformers 3 and not rush it. I am glad Bay has chosen to take a break. T2 felt like things were pushed through for the sake of time.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I lot of it was due to the writer's strike. Bay came up with action set pieces, gave them to the writers, and they had to craft a story around that post strike.

Also, those twin autobots really annoyed me. Omitting them would've made the movie a bit better. Other than, that I had an OK time.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
i want more conversation between the autobots and decepticons. Just once, as a tribute, i would like one of them to say " -name- transform!"...or would that be alittle to kiddish?
Third, im stuck on how they kept the whole Mission City incident a lie. Thats a pretty far stretch for the government to pull something like that off. Fourth, where the hell was ratchet?? |
