Pidgin also looks about as ugly as you do. Never tried trillian but there is always a file transfer issue when I'm trying to send files to someone that's using it and meebo is for little kids

You can get skins for it ;D. Mine looks pretty sexy...much like myself of course.

It runs a little faster for me, and it doesn't freeze on me because of that plugin nonsense 7.0 doesn't have.

Every time you post I imagine a 13 year old kid smashing his keyboard, crying because his parents just divorced. Something can be simple, and look nice. My Pigeon theme came with the GNOME theme I got for my OS so it integrates well with it. It looks nice and it's simple. Why do you have a nice Desktop background? I'm not upset rather than laughing at your hostility which you're displaying ever so perfectly right now. Yes, same function, but looks do matter to an extent. The logic you're displaying is "Who cares if it looks nice, I just want it to work" is pretty retarded IMO. If you buy a house, you want it to look nice? What about a car? Why not your computer applications. Do you have a skin on your Firefox? How about something as simple as an appealing image for a Desktop background? If it looks nice, you tend to like it more. I agree with you it's not important but saying it's stupid to have our applications look nice is just as stupid as me yelling at somebody for painting a room a different colour than painters beige being the default colour in all homes.

I don't understand how you got that mental image from his post. He was just saying HE doesn't need extra things on pidgin and that he prefers just a plain, basic look. To him, that looks nice. He wasn't saying that anything other than the most basic look is ugly, or anything like that. Also, to me it seemed like his comment was almost entirely devoid of emotion. I don't see how him stating a simple opinion such as "Oh I guess I just like simplicity" or "I don't need weird pictures, ads, themes, and ****" can be equated with an enraged thirteen-year-old. =\

Though, I guess it's hard to know exactly in what "tone" a person means their message to be read.

That other "wtf" post he wrote also was not displaying hostility. He's just confused as to why you picture him like that.
