Grrr. Full night of attempts on Yogg. We did great at first, got to P2 no problems at all. As the night went on, we had more and more trouble with P1... people just wouldn't stay out of clouds.

We did great on P2, though, even got to P3 once. We needed to streamline melee and myself going into the portals a bit better, but like I said, we didn't get there enough to really perfect it.

Next week >

I hadn't briefed everyone on the adds yet, so we weren't quite ready to handle them.

So that was our first night of real Yogg attempts, as opposed to a half-hour of getting raped by Phase 1 last Thursday. Today we made it clean into Phase 2 fairly consistently after an hour, but wow, is that a hard bit. We can't get adequate DPS on the brain, for one thing, and our tanks are bad at jousting the Crushers, for two, and everyone keeps getting MCed like idiots, for three, and gah.

But I think he's going to die next week.

Yeah we've decided to cease wishful thinking about that drake.

One of the requirements is One Light in the Darkness. You know, Yogg with only one watcher.

Yeah that sounds like a blast. Even the best guilds in the game have yet to do 0-watcher Yogg. Though that's a huge step up, it goes to show how hard Yogg is with fewer than 4 watchers up.

As for us, we were 0.75 seconds too slow to get the Disarmed achievement tonight and 1.5 seconds too slow for A Quick Shave. Really depressing. To make matters worse, the DPS was severely lacking for some reason and we couldn't down XT in hard mode again.

I don't understand how hunters have 2.xk DPS and the lone caster (shaman) has 3.8k. What's going on here? Two of these hunters got ilv232 weapons from Uld25 too. They're in BiS Naxx25 gear and have several uld upgrades already. Shouldn't they be at 5k dps?

I'm not quite sure why that is either. It could have something to do with the fight and how they have to switch between the boss and sparks.

any dps doing less than 3k in naxx 25+ gear is absolutely terrible. In 10 man raids considering you have most buffs available you should be doing at least 4k unless you're gimped by fight mechanics

I do 4.2 on training dummies (only tested twice and it was to test new addons so it could be higher) but having to stop and run away or stop to kill sparks does lower my dps by about 500.

But it's ridiculous that we have three hunters who need absolutely no upgrades from Naxx who fail to pull 3k on XT. Do they lose that much damage from needing to move once in a while? I was pretty sure Shaman were the class that lost the most from needing to move in combat.

I don't want to be like 'you're not pulling your weight get out' but when we have 4k dps guys sitting out because 'they don't need anything from the boss', I get a little upset =/

Maybe it's the fight itself. He pulls 5.5k on Patchwerk after all.

Main reason I was upset tonight was that so many people were like 'gotta brb for 30 minutes' in the middle of the raid. At least 5 people did this. It's really annoying. I'm amazed we even got 7 bosses down tonight.

these are both things that only giant tools do

especially "lol i don't need anything from that boss" what the hell

if they had any intelligence at all, they'd realize that

a) helping gets the boss down faster and gets them to the boss they need to do faster

b) on bosses you do need, you want everyone joining you
