Using font colors doesn't harm unless texts look like a rainbow or they camouflage with the white background.

It's in by default, though.

Also, they're good for decorating signatures. There's just something...pretentious about dressing up a post like that, though. Don't ask me why.

Only use it making certain things stand out, such as titles to each section of a tournament or chapter titles in a story. Using it for every post just because you like pretty things...well yeah.
