Edit: Oh and for a left 4 dead response i would say. Try and kill the zombies without hitting your friend, and if you happen to have a pipe throw it in an area that would draw the zombies away from your friend. However if your friend is to far in danger to be saved then a molotov would actually be a good choice and you would then run back to the nearest safe area and wait for a respawn.

unfortunately you dont respawn in left for dead as the survivors and the left for dead zombies dont infect so you wouldnt have to worry there- i like the pipebomb idea but if you were too far gone then yeah molitov and run lol

as for real life if they were the left for dead zombies id say the same exact thing- well i get a little farther back first cause those ****ers can run- any one else i guess id get up high and put him out of his misery so he dont come back
