Not sure.
But H1N1 seems to be spreading faster because it is from Mexico. H5N1 originated in China, and last time I checked, average joes didn't vacation in China. Mexico is home to some pretty popular tourist traps and whatnot. Don't forget the continued illegal boarder crossings, because they haven't closed that boarder yet.
