I caught Dialga with an ultra ball on the first try. It only had about 50% of its HP left. It was TOO easy.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that easy to catch a legendary on diamond/pearl with an ultra ball. I've just used quick balls to catch them.

I beat Platinum in Japanese last year. Now I wanna start in english lol

preordered this baby thursday, GS ftw. Im fully prepared to blow off my friends and sink my entire spring break into platinum.

...not really, but I will be spending a lot of time playing it because when it comes to pokemon (or RPGs in general) im pretty maschochistic.

Like I said previously, it's only that easy with Dialga and Palkia. All the other legendaries have a lower catch rate.

I was going to say Dialga and Palkia, but I was thinking at the time lendary pokemon would cover them both, and I forgot about the other legendary pokemon in the game.

I was up late last night and went ahead and got the game at about 1:15a.m. I think I was the first person from our Wal-Mart to buy it since they weren't put away and a new box was cut open with no games taken out. I also able to get the Giratina figure (I don't really care for it) and carrying case (I already had a better one xD) bundle for the same price as the one without the figure and case. I kinda feel like I should've let someone else have it instead since there's only a limited amount of them, and I only cared for the game.

So far I'm liking the changes with it, although I don't think I would've been dissappointed with what they had done anyway. I was hoping the global wifi trading would allow one to find pokemon they haven't seen in this platinum version, but that isn't so, but still some cool new stuff. I'm going to have to look into the team thing a bit more. I think it might be possible to set up a team for FFR members.

Damn, I haven't even finished Diamond (or pearl? Not sure which one I have XD)....

Might finish that up eventually, and pick up Platinum used or something...

I just caught a level 87 magikarp in the resort area in platinum (highest level pokemon I have right now lol). I've caught many that are level 70 and over and all caught with just 1 regular pokeball at full health. This feels like cheating. I could probably get good trades with these pokemon if I evolve them and trade them before it's wide known about catching high level magikarp.

Also I got a house in the resort area. I'm not sure if it serves a purpose other than to waste money by buying furniture for it. I'm now broke because of it.

edit: I expected more people to be interested in this game, I guess my assumption was wrong

I'm bumbping this because I want to make sure that you guys know that the secret key for changing Rotom's form is available now through May 12th over wifi mystery gift. It's also available at Toys R Us now through April 26th.

pokemon is becoming sooo predictable.
not to brag, but i called it...
when gold/silver/crystal came out, i already thought there were to many pokemon games, and i joking said "cant wait till platinum" although i knew it was bound to happen, and 4 years down the line, lookie here, platinum, zomgzers.

anyways, ill probly borrow it from a friend, i ownaged pearl so no point in paying good money for an exact replica with 5 minutes of bonus material

You get pokemon ROM's not pokemon emulators.
