Really folks. Is Christianity that difficult? I would get myself moving to avoid Hell!
Technically, God IS all powerful (as is proven by any and every given wise eye on Earth). Why do we try to avoid his presence? it doesnt make sense to me that people believe that ONE MAN sat at a table and pondered up a bible and then preached it. Really, many men wrote it. God just gently guided their hand across the paper. Nobody could have thought up a bible THAT LONG AGO. it would have been impossible. ![]() |

I have alot of respect for Christianity and I like the religion in general, but you have to realize that there are many more arguments out there. By my experiences, the most popular reason that people resent God is a belief that science and experiments outweigh faith and emotion. I have never taken a side on this and I do not plan to.

You're coming up like this would be like an atheist saying the following: "God doesn't exist because science says so." If you're going to try to start a theological debate, try to put some more foundation on your claims. PS: Quote:

Hey, if you're so religious, why didn't you give proper credit to capitalization of your "god"?
Quote:
Anyway, you're what I like to call an "extremist", or a person that is about to get a whole bunch of flame replies coming your way. Religious matters are frowned upon in this forum because no religion has a factual basis even though people like you try to make one. However, science has factual basis and something known as "EVIDENCE" to back its claims. Sorry for offending all christians with this, but I think it is hilarious that you worship a god and respect statues of a "Jesus" when the statue's image is totally make-believe. Nobody has a picture of the guy. Nobody knows what he might have looked like if he even existed. Also, the bible (a fictitious novel to begin with) has been translated and re-written so many times that the original connotation is lost. The modern-day bible actually has passages that completely contradict the original meaning of the story. ~Squeek PS - I'm making a meaningless stand to not capitalize religious groups when I type them. This includes anything within the religious group as well, such as "god" or "christ". I don't mean this to be offensive; I mean it to say that I cannot believe something without proof and display it as such. |

How many of these topics must be made before we realize that there is no end to this arguement ever. This topic should be locked on account that there are a slew of others topics exactly like this that are also locked.
Just to put in my two cents, there will never be an end to this arguement because there was always be a person on one side or the other absolutely steadfast in their beliefs that they won't change their views. The preach to people about their views, and the arguement is started yet again. Stop making these topics.

Ok... Anyway, Im a christian too, but this is senseless. You might as well just kill us all for not bieng proper christians, much less, rub it in alot. Id advise you to go read a book other than the bible, it may cause you some good outside of God and christianity. Just... never post this stuff in here again. I get enough of this at church.

Really, Atheist at first glance looks right. But in Christian terms, atheist is ignorant. You see, People fail. Everyone does. It is intangible proof. Reality shows that a God LOGICALLY isn't there. But, technically logic has too failed us.

Afrobean put me in a corner, and thats why I think that this message is important. I was under the influence that maybe I would hear tangible proof against God due to the fact that some people in this forum run on the "pride of wits".You just cant prove him wrong. It is impossible to bring me a fact that can be repeated, and that says that God is wrong. Besides the point, I dont want to dissapoint you by sounding ignorant, but I wanted to leave you the choice of digging through the bible to finde proof that He is wrong.

Mr Esqueak.....I believe that He he God god and Him are all equal. I type pitifully, and ill admit that. But HE could care less If I capitalize his name or not. I am serving Him. What I do has flaws just like what I say or think. We all make "life typos".

I don't.
Maybe that's because I no longer believe in any god. ... Maybe not. I have a distinctive feeling that somebody in a moderative position is very angry with me right now, so I'll just stop here and hope they lock this. Also, I'd appreciate it if you spelled my username correctly. Just "squeek" is fine, but I do not use the letter "A" because it's against my religion. Ack, there I go again. ~Squeek Edit - Wow, totally skipped your first of two consecutive posts. You say there's no evidence against your god, eh? Well, we've basically proved Genesis wrong already. Your god did not create the Earth. Your god did not create mankind. Your god created nothing. Not to say that you can't believe in your god still, but I would like to ask you to think logically into the Big Bang Theory in its entirety. Once you look into it fully, you can then form a belief on your own on which is correct: The "theory" that the Earth and the entire universe for that matter were created in seven days by an omniscient and omnipotent unseen force in the sky, or that a massive supernova explosion someplace in the universe eventually led to the creation of 10 planets and a sun, leaving only 9 planets after one's failure (the Asteroid Belt). |

Squeek, I love you. Seriously, I agree one hundred and fifty percent with what you said, but you know, Christ was a man's name, so not capitalizing it is to ignore the rule of proper nouns.

PS Chocoborider's post reminds me of a song by System of a Down. Funny thing is I actually love this song. It's named Science.

Afro - Nobody can prove that this guy existed, so he's a myth. Myths are lowercase in my opinion.
I wouldn't call myself an atheist or an agnostic. I call myself a free thinker. I was once a part of catholocism. I even went to a catholic school for 5 years. Then I started to think for myself and take things on a logical basis. I quit my religion shortly after. ~Squeek |

As CypherToorima said there is no point in arguing this.
And Chocoborider29, it is not wise to insult other people's beliefs. Nor is there a point in arguing over religion. |
