Default Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament

Like I told kmay on AIM the last night while he expressed a few of his frustrations with this tournament.

I like Hammy. We can start with that. I don't like him as a suck up, brown nosing sort of way either. I like him because of his generosity, character, and dedication. Now think about it this way. Hammy has spent the time to respond to EVERY post that has expressed a concern. He has done it professionally as well. Sure towards the last few he has been expressing some exasperation as well, but who wouldn't? He is putting a LOT of time into this and doing the best he can and you guys can't respect that and realize that it is a tournament? Please, give the man a break. He is working hard and doing his best to run an orderly tournament, and while you may have a concern or issue, it is best left in private messaging. I know Hammy well enough to know he would be happy to discuss any issues you had with the tournament in a calm and professional manner provided you (Anyone with an issue) has the maturity to discuss it and take HIS answer, even if it is no.

Now, as for the constant whining about misplacing. You are placed in a tournament based on your potential and ability as seen by the host. If you have an issue, make an appeal IN PRIVATE but please, accept the answer and move on. In my first official tournament I was placed in Advanced. I had 23 AAAs, 86 FCs, and 1 tier point. My best FC was a level 8 song. But because I had that 1 tier point, I was in Advanced. I simply asked Sprite 1 time if he would consider changing it and he said no. So I took that answer. And I used that tournament to focus on my speed, endurance, and scores. I made it to round 3 in the tournament and I had achieved a lot of skill throughout it. The moral of the story is take it for what it is, a tournament. Use it as a growing experience and don't focus on just the credits. They are just there to give a little extra motivation. =)
