My gawd, we've got ourselves an oldschool gamer! Man, they're getting fewer and further in between, ne?
I've heard of and played most of those games, although many of my faves come out a few years later than those. Any of the Zelda games, the early Final Fantasies...Dragon Warrior 1 through 4... I remember as a kid, my first console ever was a Sega Master System. Just recently picked up a SMS emulator and had a look at a few of the first games I'd ever played...and man, talk about nostalgia. Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Zillion, Wonderboy, Golvellius... Of course, the SMS never was a -huge- console. But sheez, did it ever have some great games. I've been addicted to beating Zillion over and over again. Something really satisfying about finishing a game you started abotu 15 years ago...Actually, Synth, you'd prolly like Zillion, it reminds me of the C64 version of Impossible Mission I used to play. *grins* And the Bard's Tale series just plain rocked. 'Nuff said. |

Jet Grind Radio, Mega Man II (MM Zero's pretty darn good too), One Must Fall: 2097, Commander Keen, Metroid Fusion, the Sonic and Mario games, and DDR, of course. By the way, anyone here remember the original Duke Nukem? It was really fun for its time... a lot different than the more recent entries in the series that have come out (or in the case of Duke Nukem Forever, haven't.
