FFR why do we play?

We all love FFR its just a fact, but why do we love it? If you think about it its really simple just pressing arrows at the right time. But there has to be something deeper maybe backward masking or hypno light patterns that makes this game so freakin' addictive. (No I actually dont belive that) Can anyone think of a reason wy we keep playing?

i like the game.. even though i dont play as much.. and i like to see what people are thinking... so i do the forums... and i like seeing the gradual change from ffr chat to yahoo pick up service...

I don't really play it that much, maybe once a week if that, I mostly go on the forums and when I'm feeling a need to smash my arrow keys at 16-23 hits a second I go play stepmania

it's a diferent form of ddr. people just don't do one type of thing or eat one type of food. Otherwise we'd all die from malnutrition and boredom. as soon as new songs come up people will play more than they are now.
