It may look like Vista, but it's way better.

Windows 7 (as a beta) is faster than both XP and Vista...and if you're noticing a difference now, just wait until they release the final version. The beta is chock-full of actively running debug code and hasn't even been optimized for performance yet.

Overall, I think Microsoft has scored a homerun on Windows 7; it's everything Vista was supposed to be and more (not that Vista was bad, but still).

It's a whole new Kernel even though it is built from the Vista Kernel so I hear. Friends say it's faster and generally smoother. Might start using this instead of XP.

My opinion of Vista is that it isn't terrible, but the fact that it's worse than XP is just pathetic.

So yeah, got my key just now and now gonna reformat my comp to W7. See y'all on the other side

EDIT - Will Vista drivers work with W7 then or will XP drivers work? Haha, hopefully one does...

Vista drivers are supposed to work with W7.
And, you're stupid for reformatting to use W7. It may be too buggy.
That's why I'm going to use an external hard drive for my laptop version.

I've been waiting to download this for a little while. I don't know, I might have to go somewhere else since I did get a key.

I'm kinda interested in how this will work completely on its own. I've been needing to reformat my desktop for a little while and I think this will both get me to do that and try the new product.

Downloading right now, it's going pretty fast. I have had it going for like 15 minutes and it's already at 24%.

I'm on my family PC which is pretty nice, but I would rather install it on MY XP Desktop in m room. Problem is, it can only read CD's.. it's really old lol. Not sure what I'm gonna do.

It has the proper system requirements, I'm running XP on it right now and I haven't had any issues. Kinda sucks, though. I would much rather test Windows 7 on there then on this (family PC).

Just finished reformatting to W7 and Sprite... OMFG!

First off, it auto-detected all the drivers my system needed, auto-downloaded then and installed them.

Secondly, the sound processing seems far better than with XP because the sound is MUCH more clearer and pristine.

Third, every game I've installed thusfar runs at better FPS and higher qualities than before.

Fourth, if I come across a bug, it'll be too minor to care about until the patch comes out that fixes it.

But holy ****... this is such a ****ing smooth, fast, and clean OS.
