This caused so many bad late night pseudo-news/comedy shows to do bits on shoe throwing.
"You know, it made our president finally do something he's never done before...LEAN TO THE LEFT!" *rimshot* "I knew he was good at dodging important issues, but SHOES?" *rimshot* So frickin' stupid.

As I look back now that the presidence will be changed I know notice that bush wasn't that bad of a president at all. In fact I will miss his down to earth way of speaking and his speech mistakes because all in all I really think he served with good intentions.

It scares me that he dodged so fast.
Not once... but twice! Is he a ninja?!

Like, what? "Oh, I was driving my retarded sister to volleyball practice and I accidentally invaded Iraq." That's a good intention gone awry. Or, "I was taking my sick friend out for ice-cream when all of a sudden I toppled a government." Down to earth. You act like his mistakes weren't huge or that they have had no consequences or reprecussions.

Psht, well I defended Bush in countless arguments with people. Not because I supported him, but because I never thought that our president was intentionally trying to sabotage the country. Sure, I think he's grossly incompetent, but hell I didn't think he had an evil mustache and top hat and spent his free time tying maidens to railroad tracks. Even now most of us seem to believe that. I re-watched Fahrenheit 911 the other week. I remember when I first saw it I was politically motivated. Upon re-seeing it years late, I realize how laughably absurd it is. He isn't such a bad guy. Just a miserable failure!

(Oh god more political arguments.)
That made me laugh though. The fact that he was willing to pause to take his shoes off to throw the shoes at Bush was priceless, even more so because he missed. |

Uh, he didn't miss. Bush ducked. The guy was dead on, at least, for the first shoe.
