Anyways, it's important to always bear in mind the impact of our words, especially on forums, where they're most likely to be misconstrued and/or inadequately conveyed. If this contention doesn't cease to a sufficient extent, StepMania will probably completely deteriorate within the next year. Remember - we didn't pick up rhythm games to cross swords over whether or not the vibration of the arm according to scrolling visual prompts constitutes its own aspect of skill. That's what I don't understand, vibrating, ma, and speed are skills of stepmania, so why should vibrating be judged so differently from ma or speed? Why so serious?

And I do have to agree this thread has gone nowhere, 5 pages of yet again useless arguing.

Vibrating is entirely different from MA and speed in that it requires a physical component that isn't entirely dependent on aptitude or practice.
