Heya folks, I'm still climbing down off the Adrenaline rush, heart still thumping just a bit ^_^;;
I guess this is child's play for all you folks, but I finally completed a Full Combo on a Song that usually frustrates me so badly; The Cracking Sky, third page of Dance 1. I knew I stood a chance, when the first game I played tonight was this one, and I clocked up just over 400 Combo I think before I screwed up from the pressure of possible success. So I played a few others and came back to it. The central part to this song is what always killed my combo (and usually completing the song, I find it difficult to recover on this section), where your interleaving quickly between 2 keys, rolling around all four directions. But I finally got it XD And I'm so chuffed, next one might be Infection on the fourth page, I love that Song as well, hopefully I can fully combo that in time. Also, work on Reducing the Goods into Perfects :P Glad I hit no Averages, in fact I'm quite surprised by this, heh. ![]() Sorry about the lack of Terminology, I saw a thread somewhere explaining all the Acronyms, but I have yet to hover around this place enough to learn them off heart -_- I mostly just play for fun in the evenings tbh, and what fun we are having tonight! ![]() Thanks for reading, I guess ![]() |

For Masters Only? I can't wait to reach that stage, I'll be able to play the higher end Classical Pieces I love Classical music, love to be able to get my fingers round the Molto Vivace (I wish Wilde Jagd & Mazeppa were there too... and Harmonies Du Soir for good measure >_>).I'll just have to exhibit my best patience skill, and all will eventually come together ^^;; Thanks for responding BlueArrow! ![]() Now I'm happy XD Christ all-freakin' mighty, I just attempted this at least 30 times, steadily making general progress towards the end of the said attempts. A few times I made it past a particular short section that's easy in reality but always makes me fumble and fail somehow. Thus instead of completing it, I fumble from the Pressure on, basically, the same runs that you experience at the start. But I just did it, so now I'm content. And I'm also pleased, that I discovered if I sit straight and take less tension off my arm, my Hand doesn't tingle and ping from RSI, which is bonus, and is pretty much the only reason how I completed this tonight. Now.. I am going to f***ing cry, because it claims I still only have one FC, I just hope that is the server taking its time... but I swear, if it doesn't register that, I'll proper freak out, I s*** you not... ... *Glares at the Stats page, occasionally tapping F5*.... |

Regardless, I found an Update Stats button, and it's registered XD If it is sarcasm, then let it be known I tortured myself to earn that FC. I'd like to be amazingly good, but only for myself, which is the only reason I keep playing the Piano. I only want to learn to play so I can express my favourite Classical Pieces in a way I would like to hear them, and it would be so self-satisfying, without a doubt. Nothing like Rachmaninoffs Piano Sonata No.2, a seriously good piece, one I'd like to make sing. In fact, I'm getting rid of this Evangelion Playlist, time for some Piano music. Edit: Btw, if I do interpret you wrong, then I apologise, I'm an idiot ~_~ Alas, I will thank you for the kind words of support and encouragement ^^ Why do I suck at conversing on Forums AND real life, I'll never know. Congrats on the full combos!
Believe me, just because you are behind in your game in comparison to us doesn't mean that you will stay that way. Everyone progresses at their own speed, and you'll be up there too pretty soon. Also, I love how you are very anxious to move up in the ranks, and you have an FFR subscription to boot. These are the kind of new players FFR needs, a batch of players who want to rise amongst the ranks with help from others. ![]() |

Thanks everyone
All such lovely comments, it's a real confidence booster!Woo! Good call, I just tried it, I remember playing this one quite a while back - there's quite a few Songs on there, and I'm finding it easy to get attached to a fraction of them and replaying the select few >_> Took a good bunch of attempts (17, apparently!), but got there much more easily then Infection But it's not quite as insane on the fingers imo.I'd like to see Zero Goods there, but I think I need to improve my Key Tapping technique, and pay further attention to the beat, because sometimes I'm surprised it says "good" for my timing -_- ![]() |

Nice, I'd go as far as to call that your best score yet. I knew Alpha Helix was right about where you were at. If you want to challenge yourself a little, try Breaking the Common.
Also, if you feel your timing is pretty good and you're not getting Perfects when you should, try using a speed mod. It looks like you're playing on x1.0 (possibly x1.25). Increasing the speed might help you discern the difference between a Good frame and a Perfect frame, as well as improve readability. Last edited by Zybanthia; 12-4-2008 at 04:05 PM.. |
