Sounds good. Gonna import some MIDIs into FL and shoot em into Roland soundfont remastered mp3's and step some over the summer.
EDIT: Got one I'm working on right now :] Last edited by danny53x; 06-10-2008 at 09:40 PM.. |

Re: Are you a bad enough dude to increase FFR's classical library?
Hey guys, I think, please note think, that the stuff I have on my computer will allow me to convert midi to mp3 format really easily, so if you have a midi you need as an mp3, pm me and I will download it, convert it, and send it back, and if possible, by email, so I dont need to upload it anywhere.
EDIT: and I may need the bpm of it and stuff, pretty much the bpm though and any time it changes, I'll need the new bpm as well. |

Re: Are you a bad enough dude to increase FFR's classical library?
So I discovered last night that FL ****s up its time display when tempo changes occur. It recalculates the time based on the length of the piece and current tempo, so when I try to find the exact time, it's always not correct.

In the process of moving into an apartment and getting situated, so I won't get another conversion done until at least the 24th. I started the Alkans though, but I don't have access to my workstation machine until the 24th. ;_;

**** DSL IN THE ASS!
Getting to work on some Alkan conversions! EDIT: And here it is! I left it at straight 80 BPM throughout; for the sake of the steppers, and my own, sanity. http://ieng9.ucsd.edu/~lmyu/My%20Mus..._(c)yogore.mp3 Last edited by sleeplessdragn; 06-26-2008 at 07:26 AM.. |

That's a really good cut. I'll work on stepping it when I have the time.

I just use iTunes to convert MIDI to MP3. I haven't had any quality problems at all.

Re: Are you a bad enough dude to increase FFR's classical library?
I just finished stepping a classical piece today (my first one too). It is my all time favorite: Carmen - Les Toréadors by George Bizet. It contains a bunch of 260 bpm jumptrills, among other things. The climax at the end is the best, though. It contains a few dozen bpm changes, surprisingly few for a classical song (although orchestral pieces tend to be at a more static bpm). If anybody would like to test it, feel free to ask me for a copy of the file.
On a side note, my mom said as a toddler I would wake up at the middle of the night when everybody was asleep to play that song. I remember going crazy and running in circles when I heard it. XD ~Bynary Fission EDIT: I've got Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons next on my queue for classical music. I already have the mp3, I just need to split it into it's respective parts and step...I'm quite sure it will be far more difficult than stepping Carmen.
