I dont know if this one's been posted or not since this forum is weird i cant ever find my own posts the first post is at the last page
![]() but anyway, not really since this is the internet and internet is sseerrrious business just like a job (note the sarcasm) But i do see why people think it's 'important' to spend the time and type with killer accuracy since i get it its about the only way of communication on a forum. |BUT because of this is the only way of communication i dont think we should judge if a person is unintelligent or not just by the way they type,,, so pshhh not to mention most of my friends from university don't reallly care about typing correctly or grammar and we are talking about future scientists and doctors here :P Last edited by Junebuggy; 11-5-2008 at 04:25 PM.. Oh man, a time capsule this sure is.
I'm glad to see it generated such a wide variety of opinions on how a community should operate within a forum. The great thing about the internet is that it is constantly changing. The way the site has gone lately completely nullifies some of my points in my original post. I did not obtain them from Mount Sinai, they are not commandments haha. Just some general guidelines that applied at the time. I suppose it's fitting that this is no longer stickied. Regardless, grammar is important people. It's a habit and a skill. The more you practice at it, the better you get. I can absolutely attribute credit to the internet, and particularly this forum, for the current writing and speaking skills I currently posses. Even though at the time I thought it was a ridiculous idea, in hindsight I'm glad it happened the way it did. Saying that, people obviously should just do whatever they feel is best. This is the internet, the true current frontier of freedom. |

I agree, this is mostly common sense and looking the all the newbs, I sincerely hope they decide to read this one because it appears that the common sense we know isn't the same that applies to them...
