The three songs not making the cut?

"Paranoid" as made famous by Black Sabbath, “Run to the Hills” as made famous by Iron Maiden, and "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. And in Europe the track Tokio Hotel’s “Through the Monsoon” won't be exportable.

We know why Metallica isn't making the leap. Maybe the same holds true for Sabbath and Iron Maiden?

Kinda lame, but it could definitely be worse in my opinion. And at least Metallica is justified in not making the leap due to them being contracted to only be on GH or some bull****.

The band in general? I don't quite understand. If they are only contracted for GH, then why is their other tracks (Blackened, Ride The Lightning, And Justice For All) transferable? Anyways, that's stupid.

GH has only ONE (no pun intended) Metallica song. Creators of Rock Band can put their tracks to better use, and umm...good sims?

If you're referring to DLC, then I think you misunderstand the meaning of "transfer". When you download a track, it saves the file of the track to your harddrive. The engine that runs RB1 reads the file on your harddrive and plays the file. RB2 simply has the same ability to read the same format file that RB1 does. It's not that your DLC is transferred from RB1 to RB2, it's that the file is readily readable by both games.

But when you install the songs from RB1's disc onto your harddrive, you're changing the format. You're not simply using RB2's engine to play existing files on your harddrive, you're patching RB1, then downloading files off of RB1's disc into a new format that is readable by RB2.

Even though that's true, the pack is still DLC for Rock Band exclusively, which, according to that link, is not permitted. If you can't transfer Enter Sandman which was on Rock Band, then why are you allowed to transfer the others, which were also exclusively stepped for Rock Band, and will be usable on Rock Band 2?

You still aren't understanding.

DLC IS NOT TRANSFERRED.

Unless by "the others" you mean the other tracks on the RB1 disc. They had to make a new deal for each of those tracks. That's why there is a charge for it; to cover the new license deal they had to make.

Incidentally, I'd like to take the time to point out that you can manually delete songs after transferring. So if there are any other songs from RB1 that you don't want, just install them like normal, then word is, you can go in through the system's data management and delete the individual songs you don't like.

Thank Jesus because right now, I can't get rid of some without getting rid of all of it and re-downloading everything minus the tracks I don't want.

My PS3 has a problem where it lags on the Solo Tour mode on the song list. Quickplay is fine, though.
