Movies made out of video games = BAD IDEA. Video Games are designed to be personal...you are in control of the character's actions, you feel how the player feels.

IT IS ESPECIALLY A BAD IDEA WHEN IT IS A FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. Though HALO does have an interesting story, it doesnt rely on the plot, it relies on the action, gameplay, and multiplayer.

The only video game I could ever see being a remotely entertaining movie is the Metal Gear Solid series.

Agreed, the DOOM movie sounded like it would be really good. Then they totally fucked around with the storyline and now it sounds like pure crapola (lol crapola).

The super mario bros. movie was pretty good
but normally video-game movies suck ass
And i do believe that there was a movie that was the basis
for the metal gear solid games but it was in the early 80s
or something. I know there was an anime based off of it.

Jewpin - They're also making a Metroid movie. They are apparently using some really good storywriters and directors to pull it off, too. We shall see if that owns.

Metroid has a decent storyline to say the....ummm...least(I think) But on to the Halo movie. Heh it doesn't seem like the worst idea based off of video games unlike Resident Evil. Super Mario Bros. pwns all movies based off of video games. I just thought that if trigun was used was real ppl lol :-p
