It's fun, in Canada, you can do everything at the age of 18 (buying beer, going at the casino, going in bars, watching porn on the internet, etc...

not that i would actually do anything... since clearly you all take me far too seriously... but, THEIR age is 18. It should also say somewhere that it is a minimum of 18, but you still must follow the legal age within the country that you are playing from. Which in the US is 21.

I'll have to check what the deal with Turningstone is up here, because it's 18 to play there. Maybe they are on indian territory or something.

turningstone is NOT a nice place. and i speak as someone who has not only been to basically every casino in both atlantic city and las vegas... but a bunch of indian casinos in NY, CT, CA, and WI. as well as a few casinos overseas, in europe, aruba, and costa rica.

hey guys i waited until the best possible starting hand came up before playing any money and then i won arent you proud of me i have no idea how to play poker at all
Also, the dollar sign goes in front of the number. Also, the most money won by an FFRer is $780,000 so you have some work to do. Real money in a real casino in a real event. |

AK suited can set you up for a royal flush, flush, straight. AA will probably get you 3 of a kind, full house, 4 of a kind. |

Try again. Pocket Aces is the best starting hand. You think you're going to make a straight, flush, or royal flush every time? It's rare enough just to pair one of your cards, and with A-K suited, pairing one of your cards is bad news. If you pair your King, you can only win if you pair it again. If you pair your Ace, you lose. You're literally begging for three suited cards or 10-J-Q. In fact, they say A-K is the hand most people bust with, because it looks so nice but it ends up losing to something like pocket fives. When you have two overcards (A-K) versus a bottom pair (5-5), the chances are 50% that one of these hands will win pre-flop. I think the pre-flop math on AA vs AK is like 80% to 20% in favor of AA. Edit: Nope, just calculated it. 89% to 11%. Even if you get one of the best flops imaginable and pair your King along with two suited cards that help your straight, you don't pass the 50% odds mark. Oh, I wouldn't want AK over AA, but it doesn't mean that AA is the end-all of all hands. I will certainly play AA every time I get it, but not to the extent that some people are describing it.

I have the worst luck. Anytime I play AA, I always end up getting beat. Someone always managing to get trips of something against me, or a flush. It's pretty annoying.

so you're telling me you'd lay down AA in a preflop all in situation?... youre automatically at least a 60/40 favorite or better with AA |
