Who the hell wants to play like that? its basicly Overhead and reverse in stepmania terms. no offence to konami but that only works in DDR.

the ONLY song i would play would be paralyzer. and what up with Dance Dance? i Thought dead on arival was a lil dumb. but that wins.

I agree, if any of these competitors are likely to pull out of the music genre competition (or at least the guitar and drums competition) then its gonna be Rock Revolution. Konami should stick to games such as DDR.

I think that Neversoft and Harmonix would have a challenge making DDR, and that Konami will have a hard time delivering Rock Revolution.

Harmonix has proven their rhythm game skills already. They could easily handle delivering a DDR type game. If Neversoft did one though... I shudder to even imagine it. Artificial difficulty all around...

This game though... it's a shame it's not better. I mean, Konami has a history of these games, but always fails to deliver in the American market. Also a shame that their peripherals are garbage compared to the competition. Then again, have they even unveiled their guitar yet? Either way, the basic drum kits for GH4 and RB2 both blow this thing out of the water.

That said, I would TOTALLY love to play Sk8r Boi in the name of irony. I don't see why people would be so hateful toward pop music-- I'd really honestly like to see more mainstream pop translated into a game like this, particularly if the original song already lends itself to the sort of play required. And people don't guffaw to see things like Blink 182, so it really confuses me.
