Pay them proportionally according to how much the logs will contribute to the fire, such as how long they will burn.
This is a weird question =S

With any combination of coins, excluding ten of any one kind, you would have to give more money (assuming it's common American curency) to Shash for finding more lumber. In the case that there are ten of the same coin you would split it five and five between the two.
Say you have nine quarters and a dime. That's ten coins and therefore five quarters would go to Shash whereas four quarters and a dime would go to Soulston3. That's the bounds of my knowledge so I am certain I'm incorrect. -o24

I would say 5 coins each to Shash and Soulstone.
Logic: He has to pay BOTH of them to sleep by the fire that they prepared. If he payed Shash more because he worked more, then it would show some personal bias in the matter. Since it is a fire Shash and Soulstone created, they split the labor, so they should split the wage evenly. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Have Emerald or Fractal_Monkey ride the bike, while the other is carried by Tass the entire 30 miles. (Enjoy the workout.) -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Times exist where you would not be able to determine the current time. If the hands are exactly the same size, then at 3:45, 6:00, and 9:15, you would not be able to tell the time.

If all three of them share in the same campfire, then Shash is going to be upset that Soulstone got the same amount of coins he did, even though he did more work. 5 and 5 is wrong.

You can't reverse the value and give Shash less than Soulstone. Are all 10 distributed?

You give all 10 to them both, and let them work it out between them.

He keeps them for himself, because he chopped all the wood, and gave shash 6 and soul 4 because soul can't carry as much.

Okay. So it's not 1 coin per log. (Thus the 6/4 disqualification)
There are so many factors that could to into this. But at any rate, I'll try at surface value. Devonin had a great idea. It's hard to compete with that really but I'll try one more time before I completely give up. (It's hard >>) 8/2 Laggy gives more to Shash to motivate Soulstone to work harder next time.

I was gonna say 3 to Shash, 2 to Soul, and Laggy keeps 5. But, after what Rubix said, I'm rethinking...

7 to Shash, and 3 to Soul. Well paying just for finding lumber is one thing, but you also have to pay for the service of having a fire. Shash gets 7 because he brought more wood which means the fire will stay up longer.
or... 10 coins to Shash while promising Soul that he will AAA all songs for him. :O

Well, Shash probably has to pay for college, car, gas, etc...

Soul, are you just assuming this?
I haven't read a post from Rubix confirming that all the coins are the same after others have posted that they could be different. |

All the coins are the same. They all have the same value. Assume that equitable distribution of the coins is sufficient compensation.
Hint: Think about what an ideal situation would be like had all three people collected the same amount of wood. Now compare that to this situation. Could you perhaps synthesize it and compensate? |
