Travel form is still useful in combat situations. But yeah, on my druid, I got a 30% speed increase at level 21 from cat form (feral spec). 40% from travel form at 30. And I'm seriously missing them on my mage.

I remember way back when when it was cool to get your mount at 40, lol. It was a big deal, but now, eh. They should really either get rid of flying mounts...or let you use them everywhere. Just think of sky guards outside the major cities and the possibilities of PvP with that.

Well I need to get a game card, and I'm not sure when I'm gonna get around to doing that, but I haven't lost interest.

Well, flying mounts are there so you can easily navigate. Once you hit 70, chances are you have quested and leveled in the majority of the places in Outlands. The reason you can't use a flying mount at lower levels is so you don't skip the environment and work they put into the game. Also they don't make it so you can use flying mounts everywhere because...you know.

That's cool. I think if we get enough people, this idea might actually take off...that would be pretty cool.

My guilds' getting super cocky. Due to our server being so crap, we're the 3rd best guild on here and haven't downed Vashj or Keal'Thelas yet we're trying to down Archi. I usually just tell them I'm not wasting my time on that **** as we currently can't even down Teron Gorefiend.

Hahah. That's pretty dumb of your guild, all it's going to do is give you guys super high repair bills. Seriously, talk with them and tell them to at least down Vashj. Once you can down her, that basically means you're ready for the first few bosses of Hyjal. If your guild is going to waste their time, leave them. Well, first spend all the DKP you currently have then leave.

Level 70 Human tankadin (Just hit 70 like yesterday, I'm psyched) on Mok'Nathal

As an aside with reference to some things that came up in the thread: Level 30 mounts rebalance the 30-39 BG bracket so that druids with travel form aren't simply better than everyone else at WSG, make the arc of getting faster mounts a little smoother (especially if WotLK sees level 80 mounts)

I'm perfectly okay with the change as long as they don't later make the epic mount paladin quest any shorter, easier, or cheaper. If I had to suffer through that cavalcade of ridiculous, every other paladin has to as well. Seriously, if my guild wasn't so completely awesome, and I actually had to try and find a PUG for DM, I'd still be poking around on my 60% warhorse.

As for flying mounts only in outland, the much more likely reason why you can only use them on outland is primarily that to make them usable on Azeroth, they would have to completely 3d render the entire airspace over everything all the way up, like they do in Outland. You'll notice that everyone's system is at least marginally slower in Outland, that's because of the fact that they need to load and track what's going on "up" as well as "around" Doing that for all of Azeroth too would just make it more annoying for a huge segment of game players whose systems aren't good enough to not care.

I also have though rarely use a 19 hunter WSG twink (And he's damn good without having been "a 70 with too much money" [I built him while I was still in the 50s]) with pretty much the best gear he could possibly have, and most of the best enchants.
