As for Pennsylvania teams, they're all failures.

yes. the phillies have been to the world series in 15, 50, 80, 83, and 93. they also won the pennant in 76, 77, 78 only to lose in the NLCS.

and please... don't bring up the Wild Thing.

but, you must be more precise... PHILADELPHIA teams are a disgrace. pittsburgh teams have won multiple super bowls and many stanley cups (including at least 1 in the 90s). Philly has the current longest drought of a city to not win a championship of all cities with all 4 major sports (baseball, basketball, football, hockey). last ring: 1983 Sixers. another interesting note... in 1980, all 4 philly teams went to their respective championship games. only the phillies won.

but, yea... philly sports haven't won a ring in 21 years. LETS GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!

ps - there are 10 or 11 cities with all 4 major sports. its iffy, because if the team HAS to have the cities name (like philly or la or ny) then there are only 7 or 8, but if you include teams like the Florida Marlins, or the Carolina Panthers... or Texas Rangers... it becomes 10 or 11, because although the team name is something other than the city, they play right near the city. same with LA. they have no football team, but san diego is only 45 minutes away... does that count?

Runs. points are in football and basketball. goals are hockey and soccer...

and it doesn't matter that they are 7-3. the Cardinals are 6-3, the Astros are 6-5... besides the fact that both the cardinals and the astros both match up well with the sox. all 3 teams have great hitting, top to bottom. the astros have better pitching. and, all 3 teams are playing excellent baseball right now. it will make for an excellent WS, no matter who is playing or who wins. i can't wait.

Well first off I hate baseball. But I hate the Yankees even more, even though I live in NY.
Football, though: Go Eagles! Cause the Bills suck.

there were plenty of people waving Dominican flags around Boston supporting Pedro, Ortiz and Manny.

i think you'll be very suprised emccky... look at their lineups. Pujoles, Edmunds, Rolen, Walker, and Renteria for the Cardinals... and the Bs for Houston; Bagwell, Biggio, Berkman, and Beltran.. not to mention Lamb is hitting 400 in the series. Also, the Cardinals led all of baseball with 105 wins. and the Astros won 18 games in a row to end the season, and 22 of the past 23 at home including the playoffs... neither team will be a pushover. the pitching matchup between houston and boston if it happens will be epic.

If the red sox can sweep the angels and come from behind to win four straight...i think they got the better chance....its not about your pitching or your hitting....its all about heart and thats what the red sox have...Along with Schilling Pedro Lowe ( who everyone under estimates) And their hitting is awesome too, dont say that the killer B's or cardinals can compare, they may come close but close isn't enough

i'm not taking any side.... i just don't think it will be one-sided and dominated by the sox. it'll be a good 6 or 7 game series. and i really don't care who wins. all i want is to watch a good series. if i really had to choose, i'd pick cards/astros because i'm a NL fan and because i love seeing the boston fans whine about the curse.

It will be a 6 or 7 game series no doubt about it. And if the red sox do win i dont wanna hear any people be like "took you guys long enough" look at our division steinbrenner buys any player he wants just to beat boston. Boston has 5 world series championships more than most teams. I doubt its a curse but a pregnancy gone wrong when steinbrenner was born

boston could have 30 WS titles... its the fact that the haven't won in 86 years, since the year they sold Babe Ruth... that is the point of it.

like i said above... the Phillies only have 1 WS title... yet no one talks about them, because it was in 1980 and because they have been a pretty pathetic team for most of the past 100 years; same with the ChiSox.
