Default Job interview

What goes on in a job interview? I have one tomorrow and I want to know what to expect.

Wear short shorts, instantly hired.

Other than that, just act normal. They just ask questions like "do you work well with other."

Wear something nice first of all, you want to look presentable. Navy blue/gray are a good way to go. They'll ask you questions about you, your history, where you want to go w/ your life. Be as positive as you can. Make it seem that they will be doing themselves a favor by hiring you. It's nothing to be too worked up over, just be relaxed and professional

sometimes you need to lie...
like when they ask you to "name a time that you gave outstanding customer service..."
and you can't remember anything.
dress nicely, and look him/her in the eyes when you answer questions. don't forget a good firm handshake.

Like Sh4d0wD3v1l said, wear something nice, presentable but if you're applying for a job in construction, you're not going to wear a suit are you? You may want to come in with some jeans, etc... like if you were already going to work.

Ps. What job are you going to be interviewed for?

Just dress business casual and prepare a few things to say. Come up with a clear reason why you want to work there (I need money isn't a good reason). Just think of something you like about that store and what about it makes you want to work there. Come up with a few strengths and weaknesses about yourself (I always say, "I work too hard," laugh it off, and talk about others). Come up with a 5 year plan for yourself. They want to see ambition. You're 17 so they don't expect you to still be with them. Talk about any college or exciting career plans you have.

It's important to not sound rehearsed, though. It has to sound like you're thinking of everything right there.

The only exception to this is if you are going to work for a company, do some research beforehand about the company. What's their mission statement, what do they do, how do they do it, etc.

This is for the ever important "Why do you want to work for us?" question. You can throw in that you were reading about (company) and saw that they did such and such and this interests you because (reason), etc.

Also, in a job interview just go in, they ask you questions, then you answer them.

Think of it like a school English oral exam, except you must prove your competency in the field of work rather than in literacy.
