Background filter idea

I noticed that we wont be able to get rid of backgrounds, so i thought of something differant, this would be a filter function, so we'd still have the BG, but we wouldnt see it, because the party 4u v2 BG is blinding, i cant see the arrows at some periods of time...
Here is what i propose

We would have

You could set the filter

For example for 70%

it would look like this

instead of this

so you can see the arrows a bit more clearly
and at 0% the BG would still be there, but it would be filtered out

therefore, easier game play

What do you think?

truthfully, id like to see more animated backgrounds like P4U v2

it just adds a little more something to the game

bgs are annoying but they make the song challenging i dont think this idea will get of the ground. it'd be like putting a setting to increase the size of the accuracy window. unfair on other scores

plus only the oldest files are affected by bgs

I think this is a great idea, since the staff doesn't want to remove BG's for the purpose of keeping that classic feel, which is respectable. P4U would be FCable for me then XD because I can't read part of it =/ Also, it would help with lag for many people as well, I'd assume.

I do not know how far this will go, but I guess I will give my support. We really need to do something about all those horrible old songs.

so i think,
If it did, AAA's on P4U and other easier songs with backround would shoot up :/

Backgrounds don't bother me, but that's a good idea.

Everyone on the entire site would put support for this but the admin thinks that its fair to have bg's since everyone has to play on equal grounds anyways.

The reason its not fair is because it adds difficulty to the song without the song being any harder. Having videos in the background that is the same color of the notes was a bad idea to begin with.

+1 Support. With this incorporated into the game, there would be way less problems AAAing certain songs for me and everyone else. The backgrounds definitely make for some lag and makes certain sections of songs hard to read because of usually the brightness or hue of the background. (i.e. Domani, Delirium, Party4u)

No support from me. Just like the old, crappy, off-sinc synthlight stepfiles, BGs will give new users feel of how FFR used to be a while back when FFR was still young.
There aren't any BGs added with new songs anymore and the new stepfiles are in-sinc, but the older songs don't need to be changed for newer players.

What's the point of making something easier if it could be easier for everyone? You would still be ranked the same if everyone played the file with the background off.
IMO I think party 4 u is more fun with the background, and if YOU would have the option to turn the background off while I play it with the background on, then you would have a better chance of getting a higher score than me.

IMO I think party 4 u is more fun with the background, and if YOU would have the option to turn the background off while I play it with the background on, then you would have a better chance of getting a higher score than me.

All right, i get it from that perspective, but i still would consider it..
Im not writing off your opinion, i just dont agree with it 100%
