Right now, I play with a custom 2-hand 4-Finger layout (F, Up, Down, Right), but want to learn how to use spread (d, f, j, k). Would anyone happen to have any suggestions on good songs to practice spread with? Any help would be appreciated.

Start out easy and work your way up. I don't think there are any specific songs that spread is good for though. Any song should do.

I switched to spread once upon a time and it took me two weeks to master. I think I played Snowflakes and worked my way up from there.

Ok thanks. But I thought that there were certain songs that were spread-advantageous?

Play level 6's and work your way up. Also when your not playing on a key board continue just drumming your fingers on tables.

Ya, just practice. One hand trills are gonna suck though. lol
Also, so many people play spread straight across(a,s,k,l and all those), I play like crooked I guess. My setup is Right=6 Down=2 Left=. Up=' Is it me or do I play oddly? |

That setup feels very weird, Plan, but idk
I might switch to z, x, j, k because that feels a bit better than all four keys on the same row Also, I find one-hand trills very easy for some reason, even in Spread. |

I suck at one-hand trills. Just mashing them isn't a good option. I go for hit them perfectly, because of a good score or an AAA and I don't know if you are mashing at them, spammy. :3 |

I will remember that.
I also find Jumpstreams to be annoying. EDIT: It's I joue le FFR, actually, and I is Je Completely Irrelevant, but I thought I'd add that in :3 EDIT 2: Your custom title IS French, right? Last edited by SpammyMcSquirrel; 06-30-2008 at 04:37 PM.. |

2-hand jumps are also annoying. Except for <> Jumps
I also recently played BB Revenge. I do hate one-hand trills at over 190BPM. XD |

Make sure you practice stream and jumpstream early while you're still not that good, otherwise you'll turn out like me and is horrible at jump stream
![]() Same goes for stream being it will help out learning jump stream. |

Ok I'll remember to practice jumpstream and regular stream. And I just wanted to try out 1-hand trills at over 190 BPM, Marco. And I'm gonna whore the song anyway. lol. And yes. Revenge is much easier with my old setup, but it was the same way when I switched from 1-hand to 2-hand on songs with stream and jumps. OMFG I just saw an ant have a seizure on my desk O.o |

I have no idea why you all complain about one-hand trills...
I actually think they're better than the other ones. Mostly because I like doing stuff repeatedly on the same hand, rather than on two. I have two fingers to switch between in a constant rhythm... I just can't do that with two hands... ![]() But I hate Running Man more than I hate old cheese, and believe me, that's much! :P |
