Default Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen

One word: super-awesome.

It's like the original gameboy games only it's got nice fancy GBA graphics. There is a little I was kind of dissappointed with, though. They didn't go all out for nostalgia it seems. I was really hoping they had the old style border as a choice, but they didn't. I can't wait to play around with the wireless thingy at school. Seriously, If you've been thinking about getting this game I reccomend it like hardcore.

PS Yes, Pokémon is somewhat acceptable at my school.

Ooh, I was going to pick up Leaf Green at my local EB Games but bought UT2k4. It's on my birthday list right now (less than a month now). One thing I don't look forword to is victory road. I wasn't familiar with the internet when I first got Blue Version in third grade... so I was stuck in there for a quite a while. Sapphire's victory road was way too easy though. Bah.

Whatever happened to Leaf Green/Fire Red having ALL the pokemon in it? I never knew it was a remake of Red/Blue until I read a changes FAQ on Gamefaqs.

Got it. I like it a lot. But it seems they kinda ripped us off because Ruby and Sapphire have a lot more things. I don't even think we can breed Pokemon in this game... Oh well, I bought it because I love the first 150.

It seems like Nintendo is just rehashing it to make even more money.

I want to get it. I liked the original pokemon...just because I know their names and recognize them more than the pokemon in the sapphire and ruby.

Yes, Ruby/Saphire was ruined by the lack of recognizable pokemon. I played about 3 badges into saphire before stopping because it was lame without ones I knew. FireRed/LeafGreen is awesomer beyond compare. There is no equal in the realm of handheld RPGs.

Personally, I think they would have done fine with only 150 pokemon...maybe a few extra ones...but not hundreds...they get lamer and lamer.

That's why this one is so great! Only the first 150 are able to be caught until you beat the game, then you can catch the johto ones (#152-251) I must say though, I am still unsure of the availability of mew and celebi.
