everybody cries but for me it boils down to when its an appropriate time. For instance, when a close relative passes away (that means when they die.) I usually have to hold off so that I can support those who are "affected" more than me. Once I've helped them then I allow myself to grieve. I think it's part of my upbringing, strange.

*edit hehe*
Unless of course you dont have any lac(real? something!) ducts (lets you cry.)

I used to cry easily. I would cry at movies, (happy or sad endings) and various other things. Beats me as to what happened, but I just do not cry that much anymore. The last time I cried at a movie was the ending of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and that was because the ending was so beaufitul and so wonderfully done that I cried out of sheer awe and respect to Charlie Kaufman and Michael Gondry. (writer and director)

I do not like to cry in front of other people. I have learned to hide emotions quite nicely...and I have seen that when you cry in public, someone will almost always ask you what is wrong....and then you end up having to explain....and I do not want to think about what is making me cry.....it only make things worse.

Love is very powerful, so crying at something like the end of a breakup is pretty much a sure thing. However, I will be DAMNED before letting the other person know I am upset.....or cry in front of him. There are people I can cry in fornt of and people I can't cry in fornt of. Yes, it is very much a pride issue. I refuse to let someone else know that they are in control of MY emotions.

Crying is a way of releasing tension for some people, and I used to be one of them. Just not anymore.
