Is DDR (and sims) generally for females?

My friends say I'm gay for playing DDR, SM, FFR, ect. They look at me wierd when I talk about it. I mean, I only use the keyboard, never a dance pad, but they act like I'm really dumb or something. They haven't even tried it before. I'm not being sexist or anything. Have any of you gotten wierd looks?

Haha!!! No, of course not! I got turned on (inadvertently subliminal choice of words) to DWI by a guy friend, recently got my girlfriend into SM, and RARELY play DDR with girls. There's nothing gay about the sims. Man, that's hilarious.

People just use gay as a more lose term now. I don't think they actually mean that you are gay if you play it. That just make fun of it because they can't do it.

My friends freak out when I play DDR, because not that many people play where I live. If they do, it's only standard.

Yeah, I KNOW gay is used for other things but they actually MEANT not straight. I guess because we live in such a small area, there really isn't anything to do besides video games and skateboarding (me, being the overweight 13-year-old kid that I am, doesn't, so that leaves games *.*). Also, the new Polly Pocket toy comes with a DDR game (only 3 pads XD). You don't see G.I. Joe playin' DDR :/

Not really. The closest thing to dancing the game has is the title. Playing DDR does not automatically make you a good dancer, far from it. People are just morons and assume if it has the word 'dance' in the title, it must have to do with dancing, and since only fags dance, the game must be fagadelic.

Fortunately, a bunch of people in my area play DDR so it's considered acceptable.

every single decent FFRer (or DDRer for that matter that i know of)... is male. i doubt there is a girl in the top 50 SM/FFRers... and every elite DDRer is male that i know of.

DDR is considered weird by a vast majority of people in my school (which consists of preps raised like preps by their rich prep parents....brats) to be uncool. In fact, I thought it was pretty weird too for a while. That is, until I tried it : D
