This game makes no sense... Then again I've only watched the video. Why couldn't this just be Hexic? I'm not bad at that game. But this... I don't want to take the time to learn this game. You win this round...

*facepalm* I accidentally left this open over night and now it's at around 15 hours and 12 minutes. I should probably restart.

The first thing I do is make a custom level haha But Random (6) only took me 6 minutes, is that a good first try?

I've beaten a random size 3 in 9 seconds, might have even had 6 seconds once, but I can't remember if it was default settings or not. I'm nowhere near fast enough at size 6 yet, though. Anyway, Rubix's time is beatable, I'd just need an insane amount of practice in order to do it.

8 seconds size 3. This was to show the logical process, however. This could have easily been 5 seconds at max speed. |

Rubix, you're insane.
My best so far is 5:21. I'm sure I can get the badge with practice, but 76 seconds? That may take a LONG while. Do we need a vid, or will a screenshot do? @Hi19: I'd say 6 min. is a good start. Just keep practicing and you'll whittle it down in no time. |

Man you should try solving rubix cubes, the two process have similarities!
It would take me a good month of playing every day for an hour to solve one of those in less then two minutes. I love seeing the intuition of the human mind at work.

IMO solving a cube and solving a Hexiom board call for very different strategies, but at the very least, they're both logic-based and pretty fun

2:49 is best so far. I am sure with practice you can get better even if you aren't amazing at logic.

The first time I did it I wasn't trying very hard but I had around 6 minutes or so. Then when I was going for the Impossible Badge, I went from ~5-6 minutes down to 2:50 or so in the same day, and was able to get sub-2 minute times after returning to the game and playing it for a week or so, roughly (in terms of play time -- after getting the badge, I didn't touch the game for a while). I'm just making really rough estimates here, as I am not 100% certain, but those times should be about right.
EDIT: I actually advise slowing down when you play. Moving things around randomly usually never helps. It's better to take some time to calculate your moves and make wiser choices. Figure out which areas of the map would be good for clustering high numbers/low numbers together makes things a ton easier too. Last edited by MrRubix; 05-15-2008 at 12:42 PM.. |
