![]() I love spamming people with bugs
![]() When does it happen Only seems to happen when selecting the Skill genre. It doesn't happen all the time; it's happened two times here in the past few weeks. Symptoms & screenshot - Script seems to end up in an infinite loop, causing Flash and the browser to run at 100% CPU untill Flash asks you if you want to stop or continue running the script. After having stopped the script FFR ends up in a random animation loop (first displaying the transistion from genre select to level select, then from level select to loading screen) - FFR doesn't seem to understand the login information and says you're not logged in. MP level shows a non-numeric value, the other values seem default/unset. Because of the problems with login information I included a listing of all the cookies set by flashflashrevolution.com. Screenshot: ![]() The "5 errors" in the bottomright of the screen (Firebug plugin) are caused by Google adsense stuff, probably because Adblock disables half of it. Environment Browser: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.14 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Cookies turned on, keep cookies untill they expire. I did clear them about a day ago, but I've played FFR succesfully since then. ![]() sounds like your computer to me. Clear your cache, or 'temporary internet files', not your cookies.

![]() I didn't clear my cookies BECAUSE of this... I own a website and I was working on cookies stuff. Clearing cache - I did between the two times it's happened.
Maybe it is my computer, but my experience tells me fixing these sorts of bugs can fix other stuff too. I'm aware that this in itself isn't exactly a critical bug, since refreshing fixes it anyway. By the way, the reason I think it may have something to do with cookies is because FFR didn't say I was logged in, while the site around it does (see screenshot). I'm not saying it crashes because of the cookies. |

![]() umm What other sites were you on? It only does that to me when I am on profile chat on another tab. Other flash things running at the same time will cause that problem

![]() The same popup comes up if you hit a button on your keyboard with the 'games' column highlighted, or outlined in black or w/e in Multiplayer.

![]() I think I can explain the cause of this....
Did this happen both times immediately after getting a new skill token? If so, then I have the answer.

![]() Nope, sorry, it happened right after loading/selecting skill/clicking some random level (possibly before the transistion ends) both times. And I don't think I've gotten any new skill tokens for months anyway...
I do tend to click faster than FFR can handle sometimes, making it skip the load screen for example (and just show a frozen song select screen). I've never reported those because it still loads and starts the level correctly. |

![]() That is likely the answer. It has been established that moving too quickly through the screens can cause bugs/errors.
Recommendation: Take an extra second or two and let the page fully load before moving on, or use the page numbers to go straight to the page you want for time saving.

![]() I guess that's probably the problem, then.
Anyway, I just got the same thing with Dance while the MySQL server was malfunctioning, so it probably happens just when there's no songs in the genre. If so, that'd mean FFR thinking I'm not logged in while the site says I am is a different bug... |

![]() On a potentially related note. Selecting skill or token page when you don't have any songs in there caused me bugs in the past. Game messes up and you have to refresh.

![]() Yea... it's some kind of DB error when you have nothing there. Will see what we can do about that.

![]() I can suggest using the FireFox 3 level 5 BETA. It's around 3 to 4 times better at handling flash then the current firefox.

![]() I'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with that... :P Btw, I have firefox 3 installed too, I just don't use it much cos it's beta and my addons don't work yet.

![]() Firefox has always had a few problems here and there on FFR. A recent one would be the fact that for some firefox users, you can't type in MP.

![]() Ugh, Firefox makes me lag so severely I play on IE now for the first time ever...at least sometimes. It's still pretty good, but I'd do a little more research before making the switch.

![]() I forgot to mention that I had this same problem before on the first day the avmiss fix became public. Flks description of what happened is exactly the same thing as to what happened to me.
