The next queue clearing event should be the last one.

Why do you think it should be the last one?

because the goal would be to only accept enough files as we need. but, i don't necessarily agree with that. events are good for the community.

Well if you liberally have that many queue-clearing events, then FFR would be filled with a countless number of songs (and we're already reaching song #1000). Then the empty queue would be a reason to fill it up again and have another queu-clearing event soon after.
I make simfiles partly for some recognition, and if a lot of songs are released in a short period of time, most of that recognition is lost because of the sheer number of simfiles. Also, some people do not like having to play so many songs at one time; they would have to do some "catching up" on all of the songs they missed. |

It's because we won't reopen the regular batch until the queue gets almost empty.
and yea events are fine, we just need to open a special batch if needed. |

this summer's event is 50 songs. *shrugs*. the last major event we ran was for Christmas... 70 songs in 7 days. Before that, there was the ST events last summer. That's about it. Twice last year, this summer will be the 1st this year.
There was also the FMO/FGO event... but that was only ~15 songs, whereas the others I've mentioned are all 50+. There was also the Easy ST event, but I kinda lumped that in with the normal ST event. Since they were July and then August of 07.

The number of files in s-token and subscriber's event was 50+ just because of the amount of files in the queue.. and the number of files in the event isn't always related to the quality of the event.
The concept of this summer's event is far better than those ones I guess, though. |

Nice. I'm going to see if I can finally get The Outlaws to give us permission. Green grass and high tides here we come!

I personally like the queue-clearing events. It's a good excuse to get back to FFR and see what different artists are doing with their time stepping songs. Events also bring the community together, since a lot of people who don't frequent FFR will get on and check things out. |

IMO, files should be released faster than 1-2 songs a week, instead of a trickle with spurts of queue-releasing events. I don't really care too much, though.

i've been saying to the judges for the past few batches to be extra hard. and yet i still get about 30% of the batch approved by each one, which works out to over 40% total... and then i wind up approving about 20% of it.

get rebirth to judge as if it was like rf, and jx i dunno but just be gay with strictness but i dunno rofl. personally i'd rather have like one amazing file every month or something than a lot of files every now and then and not having any of my files go through even if i never play this game rofl

every now and then i am strict on the song... but i try to be as open as i can. my taste in music is not the same as everyone's... so i don't want to reject something that others may like.
