I just bought Wii+ 14 games on Ebay

I have 360 and most of the games are shooter. And all my friends talks about school is "Brawl" I'm not really a fan of that game. Only reason I bought this system is that I want to play Zelda and Residenl Evil. Any advice which games is good for Wii?

I remember hunting for a Wii a few months ago for my mother-in-law. Those eBay auctions looked great: fourteen games? four controllers? That's not bad for that price! Controllers are like fourty bucks and games are anywhere between 30 and 50. Downright steal, right?

You should know, though, that the pack actually only includes 2 games and 2 controllers. It's all clever wording.

The Wii itself comes with five mini-games as part of the Wii Sports package, and Wii Play comes with nine more. That's where the 14 comes from.

I think it's a little more despicable that they're claiming it comes with four controllers. As you cannot use the nunchuk attachments without the remotes, they can't reasonably be considered controllers by themselves.

In the end, you're receiving brand new retail copies of the Wii (which comes with Wii Sports, a remote, and a nunchuk), Wii Play (which comes with a remote), and an extra nunchuk attachment.

I might have these numbers wrong, but the Wii is $250, Wii Play is $50, and a Nunchuk controller attachment is $20, right? $320 retail price if you buy these in the store. Of course, this isn't considering tax.

Also, that's assuming you can find a Wii.

Don't get me wrong, I quite a bit enjoy having a Wii and I play with my Wii almost every day. But remember to double-check eBay auctions for entirely misleading advertising.

These auctions probably aren't reportable as false advertising within eBay because it does specify just what you're getting if you look into it. They just mislead by intentionally misusing vocabulary like "games" (minigames) and "controllers" (controllers and attachments). Looking again, though, the picture they're using for the auction is downright wrong.

There was no loss here. If this is your friend he made a profit reselling these items. And if he's crazy rich, why does he have to scalp on eBay to get enough money for a PS3? Very confusing post here.

Plague is right. People try to scam eBayers by saying "14 games" when it's really 9 from Wii Play and 5 from Wii Sports.

the system comes with resident evil choronicles and zelda. wii sport is counted as one and wii plays. No brawl thought but it's all good.

hmm my bad if i didn't put the games info but it has 14 games and those mini games are counted as one.

eBay Auction

This is your auction, right? I didn't see anything about Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Need For Speed Carbon, or any other similar games.

They even specifically list the fourteen games: Baseball, Golf, Bowling, Tennis, Boxing, Find Mii, Table Tennis, Pose Mii, Laser Hockey, Billiards, Fishing, Charge!, Tanks, and Shooting Range. Those comprise Wii Sports and Wii Play.

Is there something I'm missing? I mean, I absolutely can't fathom why you'd make up something about an auction so I've got to be overlooking the part where it says "we're just kidding, you actually get a lot of cool games too."

Or is the auction I linked to (which was won by eBay account "cr_flip_foam") not the right one?

(I still think it's reprehensible behavior on the auctioneer's part to show a picture of several nunchuk attachments, several copies of Wii Play and even several Wii boxes in the picture. It can imply to the less astute observer that you're receiving far more than you actually will.)

Whether this whole debate on you being tricked on the advertisement of the Wii Package Deal you bought turns out being true or not, I recommend buying Metroid Prime: Corruption, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart? haha. Idk. Not out yet but it seems like it'll be good, comes with a wireless steering wheel. xD Thought that would be neat. I would've recommended Brawl, but seeing that you said you don't like the game. *shrugs in sadness* Oh! And GH3? Hmm... lol. idk. Those are all games I still have yet to buy myself. xD

funmonkey54's friend more than likely opened the Wii, played it for awhile, realized the Wii didn't have games of his liking and then decided to repackage it himself and sell it on eBay. So it can't possibly be "brand new and sealed". Well there's one thing you definitely got scammed on.

But all in all, I guess it is a pretty good deal; just as long as it works fine when you get it, right?

Anyways, have fun with it when you get it tomorrow. ^-^ The Wii is great. :]
