I don't know much about the PS3 though so I'm going to have to talk to Mal and such about it.

I personally love my Wii. Why? Because I am not one of those dickheads that throw it through a wall/tv/person. I am a risk taker, I don't play with the strap OMFG
For the Ps3 or 360? PS3, it will have all the Final Fantasy title I want, it will have Need For Speed, Heavenly Sword. It still has Rock Band and Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution and the like. Multiplayer is free. Not to mention it is cheaper the a Blu-ray disk player anyways. But I still love my Wii <3 |

My answer is completely PS3.
Why? Because it's more futuristic. We're talking technology that isn't quite in games, yet. Hence the low selection. And mine has never failed me. Not once. Sure, it's not perfect. And it's really expensive. But, (and not to be offensive) I can't wait for the amazing things to come that it can do and rub it in to the X-Box's face. (Which sounds odd.) Frankly, not many people can tell differences in definition, but if you have the right video cables it REALLY makes a difference. You're talking to someone who plays it with HDMI cables on a 720p (which isn't the highest, I know) projector. Yeah... And Heavenly Sword is a pretty great game, like Mal said. Oh, and I hope you guys have heard of Gran Turismo. Which is PS3 Exclusive. Ehem... I am SO getting that. As well as two future Final Fantasy exclusives and more to come. Needless to say, I'm pretty dang happy with my sleek PS3. ![]()

Xbox 360 is so much better than PS3, even though Xbox is more expensive, it is worth the money you pay for what you get online

Why will HD DVD stay around? Because, in case you live with your head in a box, you'll have read that they stopped production of HD DVD. The new format is Blu Ray. HD DVD is becoming a relic.
And you never said WHY X-box online is better. It might be better - I don't know. I have a PS3, and I get lag-free online for no money. Also, don't double post, man. Use the edit button. And try not to bump old threads, either.

No offense, but... that's kinda the exact OPPOSITE of what I think. PS3 is actually more expensive than Xbox. And to me, even though the PS3 is more expensive, online play is free and I have never had a lag, like Mal said. Xbox live may be cool, too. I haven't played it. So I wouldn't really know.

Holy **** this thread is full of the most ****ing biased opinions ever. I've played both a lot and this is what I have to think of both of them
Xbox 360 - Better if you like FPS games - More games in general (Hasn't been out a whole lot longer than PS3) - Better online play but at a cost - High Failure rate PS3 - Decent failure rate - Free online play - Not many games out (And ffs they haven't come out with games any faster than when it first came out) - Higher cost So really IMO get an Xbox if you like your online FPS games and get a PS3 otherwise. It's all preference in the end so can everybody shut the hell up saying "lul i leik da sistem i bot cuz it dun die on me" or "i leik da sysem i own cuz it haz moar gams" because it's all pretty much 'I like the system my parents bought me for Christmas this year'. What? Decent failure rate for the PS3?
I've only recently heard of systems failing, and the turnaround to get them back is a lot shorter than the 3 weeks it takes to get a new Box. And the X-box has been out a freakin' year longer than the PS3. If you think that's not a long time to pick up production of games and pump them out at a higher rate, you're daft. Of course they're going to have more games. And I bought my PS3, thank you, because I have a job. I pay my own bills. I get SOCKS for Christmas. ... Man, failure rate does factor into it. You can't just ignore that 1 in every 3 X-boxes will fail. You can say that it's an easy statistic to ignore, but it eats up a hell of a lot of time. I would rather pay the extra hundred bucks for the PS3 and get an 'insurance policy' that I'll never be for more than a week without being able to game.

My cousin actually got an X-box around the same time as I got my PS3.
He's had to have it fixed three times alreay. I've had to have mine fixed. . . none. Failure Rate? Yeah, it's pretty imortant.

Oooh. Wow. Well, that's a strange way to state that the system has a low failure rate. I read that entirely wrong.
*cough* OH, TOKZIC, I'm hardly ever at my home computer. I know you tried to catch me on AIM, but I usually surf FFR from work and pretty much never come back from "away" status. My bad, my bad. If you want to PM me a questionairre, that'd be find.
