Well I wouldn't think that would be a 'nerdism' unless you actually said S-T-F-U.

Morning time. On the bus. Half asleep. I look up. I see the bright world around me. "Damn gamma is set to high."
On the computer downstairs. I'm clicking some stuff, and I notice that the printer is on. I moved the mouse pointer to the edge of the screen as though I would move it over and click the printer off. When it hit the edge and wouldn't go further I suddenly realized what I was doing. I say w00t alot and sometimes I'll add an occasional -zor on the end of words. I call people newbs all the time, but I'm pretty sure that word was around before online games. Also, I use tons of keyboard shortcuts, and I will say them out loud about things. "Don't make me alt+F4 you!" I dunno, dumb stuff like that.

My brother pisses me off alot, and I play alot of FPSs. So I play to turn around and shoot him with the ST Rifle (original Jedi Knight). OOPS! He isnt there.
And in the game Gothic II, somebody says the word newbie! :O! I do alot of the EB things. See above post. And heh, when my mind is somewhere else or I can't focus I'm like: Man, this lag is shitty, or I need fatter pipes, or I'm pinging like an unloading M1 Garand. You get the picture.

I have a question; when you guys say pwnd do you pronounce it "powned"? The reason I ask is because when I read it, it registers in my brain as "own" but in that flash toon, I'm pretty sure he says "pown."

Poon? What the fuck?
Pown. The ow is no like "Ow" but like "Oh". So its like "owned", with a "p" before it. In French its like "Pwin" or "Pfin" or something. According to my infallible French teacher.

In NS one time I heard a guy pronounce it like "pawn" over his mic. Even hearing somebody say that made me feel 10x nerdier.

I say w00t and owned all the time, a lot of people just don't catch it. Every now and then a small "o hax" slips, which is sometimes funny.
On a side note (I HAVE to tell this), the other day I was trying to call a friend, but I had accidentally dialed my own phone number, not realizing it. I held the phone to my ear and thought "Hm, it's busy" and set the phone down. 10 minutes later I glared at the phone and thought "What the fuck did I just do???"
